FWIW, you can do better than HS5's. All of the Yamaha's are rear ported, which means they want at least 1' of free space behind them, more if possible. Front ported monitors tend to work a lot better in small spaces.

The MAIN characteristic in making a choice, should be the monitors placement. If it is on your desk, close to the wall, DO NOT get Yamaha HS5 as they have the Bass port at the Rear so you will lose a lot of Bass, so that's why maybe some people are complaining about lack of Bass.... Your monitors sh
