Hi! This looks like seborrheic/other type of dermatitis, most likely caused by friction, sweat, and constant use of the Mi Band. Apply a topical low-potency corticosteroid at night, and should improve over time!

Same happened to me 4 days ago lol, by the way they aren’t water proof but merely water resistant and if you swam with it, the swift currents in the water gives pressure to the mi band which breaks it resistant and enters the circuits

Even the much more recent Mi Band 8 hasn't received an update in 2 years. Usually, there are one or two updates in the months after launch, with urgent bug fixes and added features that weren't ready yet at the release. But there are no constant updates.

I saw other posts about the Miband 8 sealing issues on this sub. Probably it's a Mi Band 8 issue only, sorry for your bad luck, mate. I think you should get Waterproof Epoxy.

No it's not possible. Xiaomi deleted date and time settings from smart band 8 and never added them back in 9 and 10 even after a lot of feedback from users. This is one of the reasons I ditched them and switched to amazfit and I am really happy I did. A smart band that can't even show date and time
