Picks for best looking speakers
Side note- looking to upgrade from my KEF LS50 Wireless II to passive speakers, streamer + integrated amp. Need bookshelf or stand mounted speakers. Out of curiosity I listened to Wharfedale Super Dentons… warm as a cozy fall day in front of the fire, but lacking the detail of the KEFs. Then he had

I received my Wharfedale Super Denton today!
You know, I was worried as well about that "laid back" label that this speaker is described as. Admittedly, I can't stand sparkly treble but I also don't want something overly warm. To me, these speakers sound just about right. I also watch movies and shows on my computer from time to time so vocals

Bookshelf Speakers for Close Distance (~5 feet)
Being so close to the speaker I'd probably start with coaxial speakers like the Zu Method or Fyne F500SP. If that's not your style, the Sonus Faber Lumina II or Lumina II Amator might work well as they are warm-sounding and down-ported. And since you're running a sub and have room correction, the ve

Opinions wanted- Speakers for rotation with B&W 685 s2 with different character
I’ve just bought a pair of wharfedale lintons and I love them. Probably a very different sound to your b&ws. They’re fairly big but not as much as I’d worried from seeing them online. I auditioned them against the super Dentons and much preferred the sound, especially on vocals. We had them in a 5x6

Advice for replacing Focal Chora 806!
All those brands and their entry level products are going to be bright sounding products. Not warm like you want. And yes, to get to better sounding products, you usually need to go up to the next series up (from entry level). Take a look at e.g. Wharfedale Linton Heritage (EAC review), Wharfedale S

Desktop speaker choice
If this is mostly nearfield / desk listening and you’ve only got 10–20 cm from the rear wall, I’d prioritise controlled bass and good off-axis behaviour over sheer scale. Quick thoughts on your list: KEF LS50 Meta – excellent imaging and midrange, but they’re not ideal that close to a wall without s

Advice speakers and amplifiers
The bottom line is I would put the money into the better speaker first, and in your case that sounds like the EVO 5.2, then pair it with the NAD C389 unless the aesthetics and ergonomics of the EXA100 matter more to you. The Super Denton is attractive and enjoyable, but I do think some of what you’r

Need help for stereo system
You would sell your current subwoofer, but aren’t looking to buy a new one? E.g. the KEF LS50 Meta (EAC review, ASR review) are nice speakers. But they greatly benefit from a quality subwoofer. For reference, also EAC review of Wharfedale Super Denton. Fairly similar F3 and F10 points for low freque

I'm looking for a good 300/400 speaker
There's a lot we don't know but if you like a forward, toe-tappy kind of sound, a gently used pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 50 (or Bronze 100, if you can stretch into them), and if you like a warmer, more companionable sound, a gently used pair of Wharfedale Super Dentons. Now I see that your flair i
