GR-Research: Real Engineering or Audiophile Hype?
I have the NX Studios, previously had Wharfedale Lintons and Elac Unifi 2.0's before that. The NX Studios are just in a different league than those. A friend of mine also built the NX Otica's, which are better yet and I'd rather have those but I'm not into DIY stuff. Yes, Danny knows his shit, he ha

Decided on Rega 3 RS and Wharfedale Linton, analysis paralysis on amp
I have Wharfedale Lintons and a Leak 130 amp. If I was doing it from scratch I’d check out a few different amps to get a bit more attack, drive and definition to low end - this combo is ideal if you like classical, acoustic stuff, not so great with electro, techno etc.

Speakers for 3 grand, EU, warmer sound
Always try to get speakers secondhand if you can - they are mostly wooden boxes, so furniture, not tech. Harbeth is the first name that springs to mind for what you say you want, with Spendor Classic equally appealing and Sonus Faber options not that far behind. Harbeth Super HL5 and Spendor Classic

Power Amp Suggestions Pls
I have owned this NAD and ran it with some Wharfedale Linton’s speakers. I didn’t care for the combo. The Hypex ucd amp section just didnt have enough current for the Lintons that dig down deep. The result was a lean sound that left me longing for more. I then ran the C3050 as a preamp feeding a Wil

First HiFi setup for electronic music (Techno/House) – €1.000–1.500, open-plan attic, Germany
Check second hand Hegel H80s for the amp, if you like the Røst sound, you should be able to score one for under 500€. For techno, I would not recommend a wharfedale linton, I own a set but I don't think the sound signature is good for electronic music. Maybe dynaudio would be an inteesting choice

Auditioned 15 speakers, losing my mind. Please help.
I have owned the R3 Meta & the original Wharfedale Linton. I moved on to the Fritz REV7 SE with subs (used subs with all) & found the Fritz to be far superior. I would recommend the Fritz Carbons mkii. I also preferred the Mofi Sourcepoint 8 over the KEF & Linton. Not a wide & outside soundstage but

I have a marantz 70s with wharfedale lintons. But i'm missing the lack of bass in my setup. I'm an avid listener of house and other electronic music, next to blues/jazz/rock. But i have a feeling i'm missing out because of my setup. I have already considered changing the marantz to something where i

Integrated amp to pair with Super Lintons
Hi, I believe it’s missing control, as well as rhythmic drive when things get complex. Also the Lintons are warm, the super lintons are not - they are very different. Positioning is exactly as per Wharfedale instructions and I think that’s fine. More than anything I’m experimenting - I want to hear

Modern Speakers with a vintage sound?
Lots of them since speaker companies have realised they can make a good deal of money by refurbishing old vintage models with "modern cross-overs"and charge ridiculous amounts of money for the emotional buyers. The Wharfedale Lintons, Super Lintons or the Emotiva Nostalgia are a few, priced crazy mo
