Oxygen Saturation while Sleeping?
There is a slightly older study which had many more participants that describes SpO2 as a function of altitude for individuals while they are awake [1]. At 6,500 ft (~2,000 meters) 50% of individuals in the 18-50 age range were at 98% whereas 50% of individuals in the 50+ age range were at 96%. Ther

I'm so worried
The spo2 sensor in Samsung smart devices is absolute junk, it could be right but I wouldnt rely on it for a medical diagnosis. For reference, I have a Samsung Galaxy Ring, and it regularly says my spo2 is dropped really low (I'm on cpap) when I wear my Samsung watch (old model, it's a gsw4) it also

I just finished testing over 20 overnight pulse oximeters against a $1,500 hospital grade pulse oximeter. Here's all the data!
Thanks for your time and the valuable information you provided.I just sent my data to my doctor, and she accepted the O2 reading from the Wellue O2 ring. After discovering the real accuracy, can it still be trusted in your opinion? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AFoqQndOcmTt_U2_uOAlXDqSXiVQJ7MZ/view

Could this be UARS?
yes, symptom relief is the most important, and an accurate SpO2 ring such as Emay or Wellue: number and rate (per hr) heart rate spike (threshold based on your resting HR+10bpm, e.g.) can also be a useful measure.

home pulse oximeters
No, my Wellue O2 Ring is a medically-accurate tracker of oxygen saturation, pulse, and movement every 4 seconds (less-expensive original model) or every 1 second (newest "-S" model). Graphs and summary reports are informative for patient and doctor. I think that the data is more granular and more me

Boyfriend keeps taking CPAP off in the middle of the night
I was doing that, but in my case, when I take it off, my oxygen goes too low (something they discovered during the sleep study). So, I started wearing a recording pulse oximeter ring (Wellue O2 ring is the brand - it's just a ring I wear on my thumb, and not bothersome, but there are other kinds, to

Should I get a Wellue O2ring?
I purchased the Wellue O2 Ring while going through diagnosis / titration process, and waiting (almost 10 months!) to get a machine. It was helpful to me to discover massive and lengthy drops in my O2 levels while sleeping. I was trying to use that data to push my (former) sleep doc along, and get an

Good Sleep Score but Feeling Dizzy & Unrested – CPAP Not Helping. Anyone Else?
"Good numbers" from the machine are often misleading since the algorithms used to detect all kind of respiratory events are very underwhelming. I help people adjust settings with OSCAR / SleepHQ sometimes and I'm continously shocked at how terrible the machine is at flagging obvious apneas / hypopne

Random sleep HR spikes on O2Ring — normal?
Good point From what I found, the Wellue O2Ring doesn’t seem to use heavy smoothing or long rolling averages. It measures HR/SpO₂ about every second, but the app shows points every 4 seconds and applies some basic filtering to reduce noise. So it’s not totally “raw,” but it’s not heavily averaged ei

Best overnight pulse oximeter
Hey there. Short answer: Yes, it is absolutely worth it for checking your CPAP therapy, and you are asking the exact right questions. I actually just spent the last couple of months testing 20 different overnight O2 monitors (including both the regular O2Ring and the O2Ring S) side-by-side against a
