Oura Ring, Severe Sleep Apnea, and 48 Days of “Good” — What Their Own Support Confirmed in Writing
To measure SpO2 at high resolution, you need a device like Wellue O2Ring-S. It records SpO2 & heart rate every second. There are other options but this is the most comfortable form factor to wear IMO. I upload my CPAP data and O2Ring data into OSCAR (free open source software) to analyze my breathin

Observations after 3 nights with CPAP
Yes it takes time for body to heal. You might also consider using a Wellue O2Ring (or similar overnight oximeter) alongside CPAP. It tracks continuous oxygen levels and pulse rate, so you can see if your SpO₂ is staying stable through the night and whether micro-arousals or drops are still happening

Oxygen Saturation while Sleeping?
There is a slightly older study which had many more participants that describes SpO2 as a function of altitude for individuals while they are awake [1]. At 6,500 ft (~2,000 meters) 50% of individuals in the 18-50 age range were at 98% whereas 50% of individuals in the 50+ age range were at 96%. Ther

Continuous Blood Oxygen Monitor?
I use a wellue o2 ring. The spo2 and heart rate data can be imported to Oscar as well which is nice for spotting arousals.

Could this be UARS?
yes, symptom relief is the most important, and an accurate SpO2 ring such as Emay or Wellue: number and rate (per hr) heart rate spike (threshold based on your resting HR+10bpm, e.g.) can also be a useful measure.

home pulse oximeters
No, my Wellue O2 Ring is a medically-accurate tracker of oxygen saturation, pulse, and movement every 4 seconds (less-expensive original model) or every 1 second (newest "-S" model). Graphs and summary reports are informative for patient and doctor. I think that the data is more granular and more me

Should I change my BPAP settings? Timing, trigger, sensitivity
One of the mods here had me adjust my timing to 3.2. Your EPAP pressure looks to low though that seems to be the case on your waveforms not fully developed, kind of shitty to see the sleep tech didn't catch that. Some CA present, I would ask Mod RL for an asv your pressure doesn't look high enough t

Fine tuning
It looks the CAs were tied to a pressure spike, which is typical. It can wake people up. If you set your pressure max to 8, that should prevent those spikes while still keeping your AHI low. Feeling the effects of good CPAP therapy can take time, but fatigue unfortunately is often multi-faceted. Hav

Best wearable for sleep stages
I tried three devices: Garmin Venu 2 watch, Wellue O2 ring (need a membership for stages) and Oura ring 4. The Oura ring gives the best results in my opinion and detects more awakenings. Ooura in Sleep HQ: I chose the Oura ring over the Apple watch as I read it was slightly more accurate, and also c

I go for my fitting on the 19th
Great questions! You should get some helpful replies from other folks here about stomach sleeping and which masks are best. It’s definitely a marathon, not a sprint – but you are right to trust the process and take it one day at a time. In terms of tracking your data, a ResMed device with an SD card
