Buy a dashcam
So true. First one I got was in 2016, a Garmin NuviCam LMTHD. I balked at it initially as it was $520. In March 2017, I was reversed into and without the dash cam, my insurance would have gone up a lot more than $500 over the span. Well worth the price at the time. It’s hard driving now without one.

Do dashcams get stolen?
If you get the VIOFO A329S you can add an optional external SSD drive and hide that under the dashboard in the glove box for stealth storage. That way the video footage is still safe even if they take the dashcam.

Christmas gift ideas
Viofo A229 Pro seems to be the most recommended here. The A329S is newer, but more expensive. The sensor is the same, but it has USB-C external storage capability. The deals are better on the A229 Pro. Another one people swear by is the Thinkware U3000. It's very highly rated, but is only 2 channel,

Anyone recognize this concrete pumping company logo?
viofo A329S. It's a good one so far, records to a remote SSD buried in the dash and stores a few weeks of video. Handles front and rear cams at the same time.

Best Dashcam to Buy in 2026? (Price, Video Quality, Everyday Use)
I like my viofo a329s 2ch. Very good image quality, supports external storage, and has good parking mode support. Definitely hardwire it.

Garmin x310 vs VIOFO A329S
We've spent a lot of time with both of these at The Dash Cam Guys, and the VIOFO A329S is really where you want to look if you're serious about the "quality" side of your request. It’s a bit of a beast compared to the Garmin since it uses the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor across the board, which is basicall

Dashcam Hardwiring
I love VIOFO, bought 5+ cameras (for different cars) since the A119 and now I have the A329S in my car. Found out that 1tb can hold more than an 8 hours of footage from a road trip lol

Need a dashcam that records after vehicle is off.
Many dash cams are capable of recording after the vehicle is turned off which is called "parking mode". But to use said feature the dash cam needs to be hardwired into the vehicle using a "sold separately" hardwire kit. For low light recording you could look at the VIOFO A329S 2CH recording at 4K fr
