Dashcam that covers the car's sides
I'm not sure if this covers the sides the way you want it to, but something like a VIOFO A329S 3CH Installed with VIOFO Type-C HK6 ACC Hardwire Kit for A329S Series You would definitely want to add the VIOFO BP100 battery pack. For better video quality and to eliminate glare, I would add the CPL-200

[Buying Advice] DDPAI Z90 Master vs VIOFO A329S - Parking mode, power drain
Don't know about that other brand but I have Viofo A329S and I like it a lot. It also supports large SSD which you can hide inside the car if your cam gets stolen. Parking mode power hungry? I don't think so. It depends which parking mode you choose. Personally I use hybrid low bitrate impact mode.

Viofo A329 SSD enclosure
MicroSD is fine for most. For SSD I would only use the recommended SSD with the official VIOFO ssd cable https://www.viofo.com/products/1-8m-2-5m-ssd-hard-drive-data-connection-cable-for-viofo-a329-a329s-series Western Digital 1TB My Passport SSD SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD SanDisk 2TB Extreme P

Middletown automated speed camera ticketed me when going the speed limit.
In the US. Absolutely get maximum card size, if you can afford it. I have Viofo a329s 4k with rear cam, 512gb viofo max endurance card (max allowed). Could get ten days sometimes. Bought external SanDisk 2 tb solid state external drive mounted in glove box. I now get about a month.I have went to cou

Looking for suggestions on what dashcam I should buy for my BMW convertible
Get a Viofo. I’ve owned several different models and they’ve all worked very well. My favorite is the high-end A329 series because they can record to microSD or an external SSD. The problem with microSDs is that you can’t used just any brand, including those labeled “high endurance”. Viofo publishes

Which is my best option?
Viofo publishes a very list of recommended cards, including their own quite expensive cards. But I’ve had even the Viofo cards flake out with tons of corrupted files. It’s outside your budget, but the A329 series can record to an external SSD. Since switching to SSD recording I’ve encountered only a

Can anyone help me figure out what to get for my teenagers? New to all this and overwhelmed...
I would purchase a nicer VIOFO dash camera. They do not have a cloud service, can hold large SD cards or a remote mounted SSD on their newer models. Have low power parking modes so they can record for hours. You can turn the microphone off, and it never comes back on. I would personally recommend pu

What dash cam are you currently using, and what's your favorite feature?
VIOFO A329. Favorite feature is easily the external SSD support. No dealing with unreliable, tiny microSD cards. And I use a pair of 2TB SSDs which, when rotated, will record for weeks before looping and overwriting.

[Buying Advice] DDPAI Z90 Master vs VIOFO A329S - Parking mode, power drain
eMMC doesnt mean anything apart from that its integrated ie soldered in. Quality of the nand still varies. The A329 series with the ability to use an ssd imo is much more versatile. The A329S (I dont know if you can even buy the non S anymore) has low power impact detection/hybrid parking mode. You

Recommendations for dash cams
I bought the Viofo A329S due to the reviews on picture quality (4K) and customer support. Installation & setup were both pretty easy and the file storage format seems very self explanitory, making it easy to find a file in question when needed. (Although thus far I haven't needed it, but I checked o
