If you got hit at around 6:40 am this morning on 295 north by a speeding car…

Thank you OP for posting this. Hope it helps someone. Of note, I recently upgraded to a Viofo A229 Plus dashcam, and that thing has fantastic resolution. It has gotten more expensive because of tariffs, but in my opinion, still worth it. I got the rear dash cam as well.

First Day of School, Almost Celebrated with a T-BONE

Viofo A229 plus, they also make a 229 pro. I have this exact same dash cam. Excellent video, front and rear cameras, WiFi connectivity with your phone. My original Viofo was the A119 v3, I put it in my Wife’s car. Eventually I will upgrade the A119 to the A229 plus.

i commute on 280….dashcam reccomendations?

My fiance has a super long commute so she wanted a dashcam. I ended up getting a Viofo A229 Plus for her. I wanted something that had good video quality and also a rear camera. I installed everything myself. Between the instructions and YouTube videos it wasn't too bad. We've had to use it for one a

Why are these people on the road?

Absolutely love it. VIOFO A229 Plus. Got it from Amazon for $130 if I remember correctly. Great quality even in low light as you can see and also has parking mode.

Lane splitting

Viofo A229 has been my go to after a shotty cheap cam couldn't read plates and so nothing could be done about a hit and run. Now I can read plates day and night and even see the driver face in most cases, even with tint. Both are very important to actually using dashcam footage for anything out side

My first car

VIOFO seems to be top of the market right now. I have an A229+ and it was a breeze to install, works fabulously, and has caught lots of things.

get a dashcam or this could be you next

And get something that uses a (super-)capacitor as opposed to a battery - the former holds up to extended periods of high temps. This used to be a much bigger issue ~10 years ago, but it's still good to check and make sure Don't forget a high-endurance SD card. Not the run-of-the-mill cards As far a

What are you guys using for a dash cam?

Viofo A229. Works a treat, and was fairly easy to install.

Update on accident I got recently!

Very nice that they will be paying it for you!! These damn kids are lying shits. Do yourself a favor and order a dashcam immediately. Preferably one that has parking mode recording. I have a Viofo A229 Plus and have it tapped into the cabin fuse box. It records everything while driving and impacts a

I got hit for the second time... at the same intersection

If you can, get one that uses a super capacitor - they do much better in terms of performing properly in high temps. I have a VIOFO a229 plus, because I wanted a rear camera. Previously had a front only VIOFO a129, which was good too. Get a decent sized memory card, and then try to get in the habit
