Viofo A229 Plus vs a119M Pro. Which is the overall better option?

The A229 series has been out longer so we know its reliability. The A119m has just come out. I mean its great that it has the same sensor as the a229 pro and a329 series. But I bet at a much lower bitrate. However. The a119m does have wifi 6 which makes a huge difference in speed when downloading vi

A119M Pro vs A229 Plus… and is hardwiring even worth it?

I have both, the Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch and A119M Pro. Other than the extra cameras on the A229 Plus, and 2K vs 4K, they essentially have the same features. I feel having a front and rear camera is a good thing so you need to decide if that is an option you’d want. Yes, 60fps can aid in plate readabil

A119M Pro disappointing video quality?

I also recently got a A119M Pro for my new car, my work truck has the A229 Pro and looks amazing. I figured for a smaller vehicle the A119M Pro would be perfect since it seems to have identical video specs to my A229 Pro. It looks like crap to me. Very similar to OP's videos, where my 229 Pro has sm

HARD WIRED DASH CAMERAS | on Shark 6

I just had this installed for $1888 from the BYD dealership. Rear camera placement is good, front camera placement is a bit low and blocks out an unnecessarily big chunk of the passenger's view. However, the 4K quality is shockingly bad compared to my Viofo A229 Pro & A139 Pro cameras (both 4K as we

A119M Pro disappointing video quality?

4k 30fps. I have HDR on auto, but will try with it off. High bitrate. Unfortunately, no 60fps on the A119M Pro - I foolishly went by some YouTube reviews which suggested you can get 60fps if you're not on 4k, but that's incorrect. Probably wouldn't have bought it if I'd realised it was only 30fps. R

Bad compression artifacts viofo mini2

Low light from the A119M Pro 4K is also not clear and I can barely read car number plates when the car is moving. Same in good light too.

What are the best dash cams in 2026? Looking for recommendations for my first one

I'd say Viofo A119 Mini 2. But whatever u choose it needs starvis 2 or its useless in glare/night. A119M Pro is a bit better res/frame sensor but I dont think its worth the extra. I'd stick to the single camera cams because hiding the wiring for the rear cam is messy, and theyre obv cheaper

New release! VIOFO A119M Pro 4K Dash Cam - Mini Size. Max Clarity.

Viofo, please update the A119M Pro to support 2K60. You did this for the A119V3 where over time you finally introduced 2560 resolution with 60fps, which was awesome. While I understand that the 4k resolution is needed for better plate capturing, 30fps struggles to catch the license plate of passing

Anybody tried the new A119 Mini Pro from Viofo?

Strangely enough, in his October 22 update on his best dashcams page, he indicates that the A119m pro just dropped and mentions it's 4k, but nothing else. No reviews yet. Plus his best of dashcams reviews show Cons for each model that basically make me fear buying any dashcam. It seems like every da
