The Dashcam trap..
Viofo A119 V3 is still solid for around that price range, just avoid the knockoffs on Amazon that use the same product photos but ship garbage instead

Jeep said he was rear-ended... your daily reminder to get a dashcam
I will literally and truly never own a car without one. They more than pay for themselves when you need to defend yourself vs your rates skyrocketing over something not your fault. The VIOFO A119 is about $100 bucks and it provides very high quality video. Heck I still have my A129 Duo that I have h

New Mazda 3- looking for dash cam recommendations
Viofo. They’re on the more pricier end but, if u see some of the YouTube reviews on it, they’re some of the best. I’m in the works on investing in one. What’s holding me back is that I have to hardwire it since the 3’s have no 12V outlet. Read a ton of reviews and a shit ton of videos on it. VIOFO A

Do you have a dash cam in your car?
Viofo A119 V3 does the best in reviews & has more up to date specs than most other cameras on the market. Interesting video from LTT on dashcams here Turns out a lot of them may be made by the same 2 companies and most of them are using 5+ years old tech

Best dashcam to get in Saskatchewan?
The viofo a119 v3 is pretty popular. I have an nextbase 522 that's also decent.

Dashcam
Honestly the VIOFO A119 MINI 2 or the VIOFO A119 is like £100 and its the best in its price range, it doesn't have super fancy features but its good enough, I haven't found a better camera quality in that price bracket. Most dashcams use the exact same sensors, so ones which claim to be 4K Super Ult

looking for a dashcam that has no WiFi, no wireless network antenna, no mobile apps, with a high quality camera and premium build quality.
The Viofo A119 V3 is what you want then. By no means the latest-n-greatest but still a decent dash all in all.

Dashcam. A topic on the thoughts of some Miata drivers
I have Viofo A119 V3 in my NA. It works pretty good and hasn’t done anything weird. I got it because it was cheap and know to be reliable, I just wanted a dash cam that was good enough so I could show that it wasn’t my fault to my insurance company and/or the cops. It’s worked perfectly the entire t

a car ran a red light and now mine in totaled, they’re lying to insurance
Buy a dashcam that has a Sony Starvis 2 sensor in it. Maybe there are even better sensors now. The point is, most dashcams, cheap or expensive, have terrible cheap sensors in them. Starvis 2 is the best in picture clarity, night time recording and cutting down the headlight/plate glare. Google/youtu

Daily FI discussion thread - Sunday, April 19, 2026
I’ve been wondering if I need a dash cam I've had a VIOFO A119 V3 for 5 years and it's great. Does exactly what it's supposed to, always works, no issues. There are newer versions with upgraded cameras, multi-channel options for front & rear recording, etc., but I would definitely get one ASAP. Ther
