PSA: Dashcam saved me from deactivation.
VanTrue N2 Pro. Got it around 5-6 years ago after a car accident that I wasn't at fault for. Films exterior out the windshield and interior of car cabin. I was concerned about passengers disliking it and dinging my rating, but my rating is 4.97 so people don't seem to have a problem with it.

Numbers 1-3 are one device and 4-5 are a separate one. I’d prioritize getting the dashcam first. Easy installation means no rear cam. Looking for a dashcam that also takes the interior of the vehicle (specifically the driver's side) and holds enough charge/power to record for several minutes after the vehicle is off. Any recs?
Go with the VanTrue N2X. It’s the next gen from the N2 Pro which is used by a lot of Uber drivers and has had good reviews and reliability. To get the function of recording for several minutes after engine shut off, have an extra battery bank or hardwire it.

Thinking about upgrading to a cabin recording dash cam – good idea or overkill?
Vantrue N2 Pro. Any model that captures audio and video both ways is fine. You’ll need an SD card as well.
