Does Teleport actually work?

Ignore Teleport, Ubiquiti already provides you with a much better native VPN option - just use the built-in Identity Endpoint service which includes Wireguard. I was also struggling to get Teleport working, until someone pointed me towards Unifi Identity Endpoint's Wireguard VPN. Free (for <50 users

Just purchased a home with these cameras, steps needed to use them?

Can you tell us how your internet/wifi works and equipment you have for them? If you want to consolidate your internet router/wifi/cameras, you can buy the Unifi Dream Machine (UDM), Unifi WiFi APs, and a hard drive to store the recordings within the UDM. Figure out how to power them over the ethern

Mikrotik rb5009 vs ubiquiti

Mikrotik is complicated because of the amount of control it gives to the user.. yes, this means the user can fumble and make configs that suck and hurt performance... I am very happy with by RB5009 because of the control I get over it.My colleague is very happy with their UDM because it's easy. I'd

What am I missing?

Ubiquiti has the same appeal as Apple, integration and ease of use within it's ecosystem. No licensing costs as Cisco has, Netgear is clunky with management and integration. Support is only really provided via the paid support plans. Even companies who buy from Ubiquiti don't have dedicated support

Meraki Firewall Alternatives for Small Locations?

+1 for Ubiquiti. There is plenty there gear can't do, but 99% of it is plug-and-play, performant, and reliable. The orgs I work for have plenty of cash to throw around, and we're still opting to roll Unifi gear where we were previously deploying Meraki.I have Ubiquiti (UDM Pro) at home and colo, and

How Much Maintenance for Home Deployment?

My home network has grown over the years, and to be honest, I wouldn't choose anything else but Ubiquiti. I have a 1.1Gbps symmetric fibre broadband. This feeds into a Unifi UDM Pro with a 6TB drive installed (for the Network Video Recorder). The UDM Pro is great because it has SFP (for future upgra

UDM Pro Max vs. Cloud Gateway Fiber

I’ll chime in as someone who is actively transitioning fully to ubiquiti. Just got ATT fiber to my home, so I went with the Cloud Gateway Fiber. I originally planned to “ball out” and go enterprise grade everything, but went with a smaller form factor to minimize its footprint. And I knew I wouldn’t

Starlink Bypass Mode

So you’ll need an actual router. Whichever device is directly plugged in to the Starlink will receive a single IP address. There will be no NAT or firewall so all ports that device has open will be completely open to the internet. It’s a security nightmare. With a router you’ll get NAT and a firewal

CenturyLink (PPPoE) → Quantum Fiber (IPoE) + UDM Pro — Working Bridge Mode Setup

I did this exact same setup. It 100% works and I thought I was done but the latency was really bad (note in the screenshot below the WAN is connected to QuantumFiber). To fix: * Moved VLAN 201 tagging to the UniFi device (I have a Cloud Fiber Gateway) * Ran the 1GB network port to my switch with an is

Hilfe mit meinem Glasfaseranschluss

Schmeiß die Repeater weg. Kauf dir UniFi Access Points. Verteile sie strategisch im Haus. Über das Patchfeld mit dem Router verbinden. Router am besten mit UniFi Dream Machine ersetzen.
