Is this a good start?

Fiber’s specs say 5Gbps, but owners have demonstrated it successfully handling 8+. It’s Ubiquiti’s second-fastest gateway, topped only by the $2000 Enterprise Fortress Gateway (rated for 12Gbps; I have not seen anyone max it out). Dream Machine Pro Max, despite being rated for the same 5Gbps, tends

Aren’t most setups here insanely overkill? Am I missing something?

I’m also a newbie to Ubiquiti but have been following them for years. I recently joined the board of directors for a local community league and proposed a net-new network buildout. New Dream Machine Pro Max, 24 port pro max PoE switch and 4 x U7 Pro XG AP’s. Although the setup isn’t completely rolle

New install

Get G6 models and you will be good, the rest are not worth it really. You won't get true LPR with Ubiquiti, only at daytime. Night time forget about that (talking about cars in movement at night here btw). Maybe G5s for indoors but outdoors definitely only G6 models. I don't think you can run Ubiqui

Upgrade from Lorex system

No camera licensing with Ubiquiti, just need to see how many cameras each recorded can handle. Used them. I’ve used Ubiquiti for a while for networking (gateway, switching, PoE devices), expanded a bit when using the Dream Machine Pro Max that can handle a number of cameras. Have also used NVR and N
