What are some good WiFi 6 routers at the moment?

Ubiquiti makes some of the best networking gear for consumers/prosumers. Check out the Unifi Express 7 and Dream Router 7. They have a very reasonably priced ecosystem that is easy to manage with great performance.

Hey /r/Sysadmin! What do you use for your home router? 2026 Edition

The Ubiquity network console is awesome. The WifiMan VPN works flawlessley. The Dream Machine Pro doesn't have wifi, and I didn't realize at the time of purchase that it doesn't have PoE which is a bit annoying for a gateway at this price point so I have a separate injector to run the wireless acces

Does anyone know about this router?? I just got it for Christmas

Amazon has it for $578 (US). You could build out a Ubiquiti system that would be more versatile for about $500. UDR7 UniFi Dream Router 7 (~$279): All-in-one Wi-Fi 7 cloud gateway with tri-band (including 6 GHz), 10G SFP+ WAN, 2.5G RJ45 WAN, 4-port PoE switch, IDS/IPS security, and full UniFi OS for

I want better cyber-security at home

A good and cheap option would be something like Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra. Or a bit more expensive all in one device (with the wifi baked in) like their dream router 7. They come with everything included to better protect your network. See here: https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/3042671844763

Help choosing a router for upgraded internet

Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Router 7. Easy setup, lots of expansion capabilities. Just a warning, they make everything easy to do and you’ll end up spending a lot of money upgrading your network because it’s so easy. I’m at 1 UDR7 router, 3 Flex 2.5 Gb switches, and now looking at their camera setup and tr

Recommendation on best router to handle over 100 smart devices?

The most common suggestion over there for 100+ clients is the Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Router 7. It’s certified to handle over 300+ clients. It’s perfect at stamping out an entire pernicious class of transient failures in smart homes. There are some GL.iNet routers that cost less that can handle the tra

Best Wi-Fi router / mesh for a 3-storey Japanese house?

I had used a few different brands and routers before I decided to switch to the Ubiquiti ecosystem. After purchasing their equipment, I wouldn’t change my mind about my choice in years. They have a very good firewall system, easy to expand and manage, somehow modular and can grow with your necessity

Internet suppliers

#1 TDS - Two people I know love them. I believe they still offer a price for life option when signing up. 1Gbps download by 1Gbps upload at $79. So, if you are planning on sticking around for while that would be a great deal. The only complaints I've heard are they can be a little disorganized somet

Thinking of the ASUS RT-BE88U (AUS) – Need advice on Mesh nodes for a wired backhaul setup

I would not buy Asus for this application. Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 is cheaper, has similar features, and their software ecosystem is better. https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/networking/modems-&-routers/116893-udr7 Add some U7 Lite for your access points. https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/networ
