As someone already said, passive noise cancellation is literally just the headphones sealing around your ears, nothing to turn on or off. Some people are sensitive to the pressures this can create on your ears with closed back headphones. You may have better luck with a pair of Open Back Headphones

Cloud III's or Turtle beach Atlas Airs (Atlas Airs are open back, and do stretch your budget a bit)

Seems like this new update is giving not only just the Atlas Air this issue but other headset models as well. I have a stealth 700 gen 3 and I'm sure if I switch over to it I'll have the same issue. Seems like we just have to wait this out until Turtle Beach fixes this issue on their end in the next
