Is it very bad to place the speaker up against the wall?
The wall "can" be an issue. You won't know until you try. You can plug the ports to see if it helps, but if I knew I had those constraints I'd buy a Front-ported (Elac Debut 2.0, Triangle BRO3), or bottom-ported (Wharfedale Diamond 225). Need help figuring out what setup I should get
I can vouch for the triangle BRO3 speakers, I have these in my office setup with a Yamaha as301 amp and they are great.If you place them correctly they have a huge soundstage and good clarity
