GPS Cat Mini

I use Tractive Mini for my cat, it’s been reliable even when she hides under houses. Bluetooth ones drop signal too often, so GPS is better in suburbs. The Mini’s not too bulky either, my cat got used to it in a couple days.

I also used tractive for a little bit but I found the tracker to be a bit too clunky for my elderly grandpa cat, he has never even been outside or shown an interest in the door, and with his chronic health problems I decided his comfort was more important. Ha, I actually upgraded my cats to the smallest dog tracker last year because it’s roughly the same size but battery lasts twice as long. The Dog 6 weighs 39 grams while the Cat 6 weighs 32 grams. 7 grams difference. Of course the XL is much larger and heavier, so that’s probably what you mean. But

If he’s mostly an indoor cat and this is more of a “just in case he slips out” situation, I’d probably look at a lightweight GPS cat tracker you can clip onto his collar when you’re not home. For outdoor cats I’d probably lean toward a GPS cat tracker, even if it’s slightly bigger. The Tractive CAT Mini is one of the smaller ones I’ve tried and most cats seem to tolerate it pretty well once they get used to the collar.
