DECO XE75

An old cisco head, no expert. The "Daisy Chain" Tax Your current setup is configured in a line: Main Deco \rightarrow Deco 2 \rightarrow Deco 3 In a wireless mesh, every "hop" costs you bandwidth. Even though the XE75 has a dedicated 6GHz backhaul, Deco 3 has to repeat a signal that has already been

AirPlay woes with new Deco setup

I finally got fed up of ISP provided WiFi gear and treated our household to a new setup. After doing some research I opted for the Deco XE75 Pro kit with three nodes.

Since I run an OpenWRT router, I configured the Decos in AP mode. Each node is connected to the router via gigabit Ethernet and the

Succesfully bypassed HomeHub3000, but only get 800mbps for download instead of ~1000mbps

Hi everyone,

I recently switched my home network setup and am experiencing lower download speeds than expected. Here's a brief overview of my situation:

  • Old Setup: HomeHub3000 → TP Link Deco XE75 Pro (Mesh in AP mode) → Desktop. This setup gave me download speeds of ~1000 Mbps.

I recently bought Asus RT-AX86U to replace my old router, lol. It's a great router, but I didn't know about WiFi 6e. Now I have an itch to spend even more.

I never really followed new WiFi standards, so usually I'd just get something with great reviews and not too expensive. However, recently we upgraded to ATT 1gbps fiber plan and I started to read a bit more. 6GHz sounds exciting.

I spent $220 on Asus RT-AX86U. Cheapest WiFi 6e routers I can find ar

Deco XE75 Pro & Powerline Adapter

I tried out my Deco XE75 Pro last week. I set it up which was pretty simple and straight forward, a few hiccups. I get all three units set up and running, all have connections. My setup 1 one each floor. Modem and initial Deco is on the 1st/bottom floor, giving me about 750 mbps. Second unit on the

Router Recommendations for AirLink

Looking at getting a new router, though I’m torn on a few things.

I like the TP-Link Deco XE75 for a multi-floor townhouse style apartment. But I keep seeing negative things about mesh networks and VR streaming, but a lot of what I’ve read is from 7+ months ago. Are the issues fixed?

The TP-Link A

Tech help on PureFibre equipment.

Hi all!

Hoping someone can help more than the Telus fibre support technician I was just talking to.

In October 2023, I had PureFibre 1.5 installed.

The only equipment that was installed was a ONT (and router?) Technicolor model NH20T.

Fibre comes into the box, and then cat 5e ethernet cable runs
