I use two mesh routers currently the deco x68, one connected to the router they provide. The other in my room maybe 25-30 feet away. I did a speed test using their router and my mesh routers in the same location. It makes a BIG difference. Screenshot below for comparison. Mind you if I hardwire the

Windstream is currently the only company that offers fiber at my location, which would be an upgrade from 50 mbps to 1000 mbps, do they still suck as a company?
It's fine if you're close to it but that may not be possible. For me fiber had to be installed in the livingroom instead of bedroom. Best modem/router to buy
Id recommend mesh wifi over routers they allow for better whole home wireless. As long as the ethernet port on the router / mesh is at least a gigabit which most are it won't bottleneck speeds. If you ever upgrade to 2gbps plan then the router / mesh would need a ethernet port that supports higher s

Should I Use Mesh if My WiFi is Slow?
Get 3x Deco x68 (or better) tri-band units. One next to the main router. One in your room. One between the two.
