I had lots of problems with my Portal when using an eero 6 mesh network. Those problems all went away when I switched to a TP-Link Deco BE65 Pro (BE11000) system. I didn’t switch because of the Portal issues, but switching fixed those along with some others. My suspicion is that the eero wireless ba

It sounds like you need a mesh system to increase your range. I've had great success with the deco be65 (3 pack) on wireless only (can't run ethernet in my house without ripping up the floor) but if you can you should consider running ethernet between each mesh satellite unit back to your main route

The tech was wrong you aren't missing anything. Backhaul is simply the "spine" that connects your mesh nodes; without a wired (Ethernet) backhaul, your WiFi speeds can cut in half with every "hop." Since you have high-end Deco BE65 Pros, plugging them together via Ethernet will drastically improve y

Deco is to serve as the wireless router in router mode. In the Gateway, I suggest to just factory reset and then disable and hide all wireless networks so nothing connects to it and it's a fresh install. Then connect the Ethernet cable from T-Mobile Gateway to your primary Deco. This will give your

I have the Deco BE65 pro with 3 units. 1 node is wired, the other relies on wireless. My internet is 2.5gb and I’m getting about 1300Mbps on the wired ones and 300Mbps on the wireless. I’ve had it set up a few weeks now and it is rock solid. It is much more consistent than previous set ups.

I have Deco 2 BE65’s in our 160 sq meter bungalow. Have them setup as APs with Ethernet backhaul to the router (Xfinity Gateway XB8) Have been very happy with them. We have a 1 Gbps ISP connection and get 600-900 Mbps wifi connections. The WiFi reaches to the yard but I haven’t tested how far. I gue

I could put them next to the main Deco BE65 and run a short Ethernet cable between them. Worth a go....

What’s your budget, I also have 2gbps fibby and run a WiFi 7 mesh using Deco BE65s I’ll get about 1.5gbps over WiFi with only WiFi backhaul. Could also replace the providers own router with one node. Obviously varies based on your walls. Buy from Amazon trial it, if nots fast enough return it I’ve b

I recently upgraded my Orbi Rbr750 to Deco Be65 11000 so far, I haven’t experienced any issues with streaming or any network drops. Surprisingly, I’m getting 900 down and up wirelessly in comparison to my Orbi which was around 650 wirelessly with wired backhaul. The only downside I dislike is not ha

I don’t use home shield or anything like that, but I made exactly the same switch: Orbi 753 to Deco BE65. Mega improvement, particularly if you take the time to tweak some settings (like wifi channel settings). Haven’t had a single drop I could fault the Deco for in 18 months. I have one satellite c
