Adding AXE5400 to Hardwired Deco XE75?
You certainly could, if you want; the AX73 gives you the option to customize its SSID(s). Just bear in mind that since the Archer won't technically be using Deco mesh technology, core mesh features (e.g., fast roaming) may be affected, and some client devices may not roam as effectively between the

Spectrum sucks and I am looking for an upgrade
so the strict NAT thing is almost definitely because spectrum's router has a garbage firewall that doesn't handle UPnP right. i had the same exact problem for like a year before i realized it wasn't my ISPs fault, it was their router. honestly the move everyone's telling you is right — get your own

Recommendations for a modem and router for condo unit.
for under 1000 sq ft you definitely don't need mesh or anything fancy. a single good router will cover that no problem. for the modem — Motorola MB8611 or Arris SB8200 are both solid and on xfinity's approved list. either one supports the speeds you're looking at. buying your own modem also saves yo

My PS3 kills my download speed.
My router is an Archer AX73. Also figured out the problem my MTU was too high on my PS3. It was set to 1500 MTU. Changing from 1500 MTU to Automatic fixed the problem instantly.

Using AX73/AX5400 with Frontier Fios Fiber 500
I’d read somewhere a recommendation of doing a hard reset when switching from access point to wireless router - is that a thing? And, if so, how do I do it? I agree with that recommendation. Hard reset is the same as returning/resetting to factory defaults. Not familiar with your device but it's gen

What router should I get under $200?
I have an Archer AX73, supports multiple devices, fast/reliable, can set a lot of settings and has a mobile app for remote control to see all connected devices. Allows you to block devices, see usage amounts per device, and a lot more. Lets you get extenders (RE715X) that are easy to install around

Looking for a router/modem combo unit for 1gb xfinity plan.
Just eat the monthly ~$5 rental for the modem, put it into bridge mode, and get a dedicated router (even something like TP Link AX73). Will get you great coverage, a good router, and your Ethernet ports you need and save you money from buying a separate modem/router combo that likely will suck and f
