I admit, I keep going back to the expensive makeup after trying the dupes, because it overall performs better for me. However, there are some drugstore items I won’t switch back for. It could be the tariffs, inflation, or just capital greed. Back in 2015, I bought the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara for $23. Now it's $29. They do it because they can, in a lot of cases.

I used to get the Too Faced BTS mascara in the mini version for years, I would change it at the beginning of each year. I rarely wore mascara, so there's no way I would have used up the regular size before it expired. Sure, the mini was more expensive per gram, but it was still cheaper overall.

Sky high is great! I also like the Thrive tubing mascara. I'd stay away from Too faced better than sex. I think it's over priced crap. I don't get the hype.

l'oreal lash paradise!! it's basically a dupe for too faced better than sex but half the price. the formula is perfect - not too wet, not too dry, and it actually holds a curl. i've repurchased this like 10 times already. also seconding maybelline sky high, that stuff is magic in a tube

I use the too faced, waterproof better than sex mascara! definitely on the higher end cost wise but it’s never failed me! keeps my lashes curled the whole day, highly recommend

Um can I have your lashes, plz? 😩😍 I swear by Better Than Sex by Too Faced. I get the travel size so it doesn’t dry out too fast - I hardly ever wear mascara bc I always wear falsies - but it’s only $16. 🙌
