$600? Excuse me?
if it’s a 4K front camera, includes a rear camera, and installation, I’d say that might be a good deal, for Lexus, especially. I sell and install dash cams for a living, I prefer the thinkware U 3000, and U3000 pro. $550 and $580, respectively. Not including installation. SUV is about three hours at

Why is Thinkware so much more expensive?
Because it is quality backed by a company with great customer support than answers the phone. Just installed 3rd THINKWARE U3000 in my cars.Love the parking mode with OBD II connector

People keep hitting my brand new telluride…
I’d focus on how you’re powering parking mode. A lot of dash cams sound good on paper, but for hit and runs the setups people seem happiest with are hardwired with low-voltage cutoff or paired with an external battery so you’re not killing the starter battery. Buffered parking mode matters too becau

Is there a dash cam to fit all my needs?
If parking mode is your main priority, I’d honestly look at Thinkware first. A lot of cams really just save from the impact onward, but Thinkware’s radar parking mode can pick up motion before the actual hit, which is way more useful if you care about real evidence. And since you said you want more

New Owner!!
Screen saver from Amazon is probably the cheapest and best accessory to protect that super soft infotainment screen. I had THINKWARE U3000 Pro front and rear Dashcam installed. Uses OBD II power connector so no fuse box taps and has one of the best parking modes to save battery drain.

What Battery Monitor and DashCam are recommended?
A dashcam doesn't cause ICCU failure. The recall documentation points to overvoltage stress at the start and end of the 12V charging cycle, plus thermal loading during charging and driving. That's internal to the unit. Nothing you hang off the 12V causes it. But a dashcam will absolutely unmask a fa

Dash cam tips?
I do this for a living. Strongly recommend the thinkware product, specifically the U3000 with the OBD II adapter. Routing of the cables requires you to be cognizant of the airbags, specifically the side curtain airbags, along the edges of the headliner and in the a pillar on either side of the winds

A dashcam
How good is the fitcamX? I like the appearance and simplicity. It taps into the mirror power? Will Hyundai grumble about that with warranty issues? I was considering a higher end Thinkware u3000 as the radar parking mode seems really good. Not as tidy from an install point of view though.

A dashcam
I've had some major issues with my VW including electrical issues, every time it's gone with a Fitcamx installed and never once they've mentioned anything. Honestly it depends what you want, the FitcamX is a mid quality dashcam for a top quality price. However for the tidiness and ease of install I'

Dashcam Recommendation
If you want front + rear with parking mode, the U3000 is solid, 4K front, 2K rear, good night footage, and radar parking mode that only wakes up if it senses actual motion/impact so it's not just draining battery and eating SD space all day. THINKWARE is a good brand. I have the ARC900 and might be
