I can’t stress this enough for everyone. Dash. Cam. They aren’t crazy expensive. This thing saved my ass by a lying bitch who ran into me 4 years ago. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/thinkware-q200-2k-front-1080p-rear-dash-cam-with-gps-and-wi-fi-dark-blue/J3ZRK5Y38Z/sku/6576703?sb_share_source=PDP&ref

Thinkware q200 2CH is a low cost reliable 2k dash cam. Enough to show who had the green light, works well enough at night. BlackVue Elite 9 2CH is a high cost reliable 4k dash cam. Better picture esp. at night, better cloud features, support for larger SD cards. Lots of great option from both Blackv

If you have money to spend Land Rover has a 2 channel dash camera, part #VPLKV0134, it will install in line with the harness in the overhead console, the app is decent. Other than that I have had blackvue in my last vehicle, it was alright. I have a thinkware Q200 2 channel in my L322 that I am very

There a several good options. I use the Thinkware Q200. Performance is good and you can power it from the Homelink Rearview Mirror with an adapter from MX5Things.

Thinkware q200 is what I'd recommend. You can set it up to connect to the hotspot on his phone so you can access it remotely if he needs your help. It's as close to set and forget as you can get. Anything less tends to be unreliable and needs playing with or monitoring.

Thinkware Q200 fits your budget and Blackvue Elite 9 fits your desired specs. Cams claiming to do both tend to lie about specs and/or be unreliable trash.

I have a thinkware q200 in my daily and my old FA200a in my truck. They were both $200 when new, and they both get the job done. The app is a bit clunky and slow, but it works. Ive been happy enough with them to keep them installed, but I havent had to use them in an accident yet
