Hot take: I did not like Daylite 26+6
My one bag backpack is the North Face Recon Woman version. I’ve tried various backpacks including patagonia, osprey, tom bihn. But nothing beats the harness system from the TNF W version. I have traveled with the smaller Borealis, but switched to the Recon for more space (also for work). I’m 5”2 siz

Bag Finder Megathread - 01 September 2025
Got the North Face Borealis a few months ago, I like the pockets and utility of it but man does it hurt the shoulders. Not sure if it was worth it but I am stuck with it now so I will keep using it

Personal item for a short girl?
I'm 4' 11" and I'm very loyal to my Fjallraven. It's lightweight, easy to access everything I need, and really easy to clean. I also tried out the North Face Borealis and I found it to be way too tall to the point where it was uncomfortable against my spine when I walked around with it. The only thi

Brompton P line + Thule Backpack
I had the same issue with my The North Face Borealis model, but this Thule Chasm has gaps/channels on the front that look promising.I will test it for a couple of weeks and get back to this post with some feedback.

Backpack recomendations
Osprey has some pretty good packs I think. I've only had my quasar for a short while but I did get it secondhand from ebay and so far I have no issues (the warranty sold me haha). Only thing is my specific model (24/7 series) is no longer in production so if you'd need a larger pack it might be bett

Light pack for longer walks/hikes
Any particular carry style you want? Running vests are a great, lightweight option for day hike/long walks. Can throw in a water bladder and just use that for yourself and the dog. I feel a little silly wearing one for walks, but once I'm actually moving I forget about it because it's so comfy. Ther

Looking for new back with same specs than my old one
The backpack weighs only 800g, is very robust and functional, and can also be made more compact with 4 compression straps. It has been my daily companion for almost 3 years for the office, weekend trips, and so far also as a daypack on trips to Iceland, Canada, Scandinavia, etc. I tried out many sim

Patagonia Black Hold Mini MLC 30L vs Cotopaxi Allpa 28L Travel Pack
I realize this thread is 6 months old, but it's one of the ones that popped up as I compared these two bags and figured I throw in my $0.02 because I'm not trying to do one bag travel and don't have a laptop. Bought both from REI (along with a North Face Borealis, which I ruled out pretty quickly) t

Is it just me, or has anyone been noticing girls using purses for school now?
(almost) Everyone at my all-girls catholic school uses a purse. mostly long champ bag or a Lululemon tote. some people use designer bags, like the tote bag from Marc Jacobs or this one coach bag. If not a purse, which is maybe 1/4 of the school it's either a Lululemon backpack or a north face. Defin
