You will be better served by a NxtPaper device like TCL Nxtpaper 11 Plus or the more expensive Note A1. Fast as an iPad, cheap as dirt (the 11 Plus), so much closer to a Kindle eye-strain wise.

I'm sorry that you're having those issues I always turn on developer options on all of my Android devices. It allows you to change the animation response times lower or higher to your liking. In my case I just about killed all of the more advanced animations knowing that the Soc isn't very powerful
