Anyone ditch Amazfit for Garmin, Coros, or Suunto regret it, and actually switch back?

Lifelong runner and Garmin user since the original Forerunner 201, with numerous devices from a few brands along the way and now with a Balance 2. I have little reason to consider another brand at this point. Amazfit has fixed or added most of the important things for me as a runner. Sure Garmin has

Garmin Epix 2 vs Suunto Race 2

Are you sure about Garmin discontinuing the support for Epix 2? In my understanding they do not offer the new features for ”F7 line-up” buy do bring any essential security updates and bug fixes. Anyhow, I do understand your frustration towards Garmin as I’ve spied the conversations and updates about

Any converts from Suunto here?

So, the OHR is definitely better across all Polar devices, at least prior to Race 2 and Vertical 2. Did a run with a series of strides yesterday: Race connected to H10 on one hand, V3 on the other using its OHR. V3 matched Race beat-for-beat, and that's pretty much has been my experience over the ye

How do older runners deal with small watch letters...

It's much easier to read smaller print on an AMOLED screen, and they usually have higher resolution. I think the Suunto interface works better and is more visible on the Race and new Vertical. You can also reduce the amount of information on the data screens using custom sport profiles.

Optimizing my Vertical 2

You drop about 5% battery per day on the Vertical 2 and Race 2 when used in typical smartwatch mode. Give or take a few percentage points based on what settings you have, how often you use the watch, and battery differences between the two models. That battery drain works out pretty close to Suunto'

Finally trying out Coros Nomad!

I'm looking to upgrade from my Garmin Fenix 6S so I'm trying out all the major watches that I could get for under $500. From left to right: Epix Pro 51mm, Suunto Race 2, Coros Nomad. I've used the Epix Pro for around 3 weeks and have to return it soon if I don't decide to keep it. It's an excellent

My path to Suunto - my way to perfect sport watch

My sportwatch evolution has been quite a ride: Apple Watch > Fenix 7 > Tactix 7 > Vertix 2 > Fenix 7X Pro > Fenix 8 > Vertix 2S > Race 2 > Vertical 2. In my experience, Garmin has become increasingly overpriced. Their lineup is cluttered with lifestyle features I rarely touch, and even the OS on the

Garmin ——-> Suunto

I love the simple and effective UI/UX of my Suunto Race 2. I hate how cumbersome and limited is to customize data pages (effectively you have to create a custom sport mode). But I wrote a pretty long list of what I like and dont like about the Race2. https://www.reddit.com/r/Suunto/s/Nb95PZSNLA

Race S vs Race 2 Software

From what I understand from Suunto strategy, they differentiate their products mainly through hardware differences vs. software. For us consumers that's great cuz they don't paywall or lock features to only more expensive watches. To be honest based on Chase The Summit's youtube review, the UI is li

What feature/gadget to expect in 2026

What I'd like to happen - A new marketing department that understands how to sell based on the products strengths, and realises that they also have a line of other products that they need to get out to reviewers such as headphones and hrm bands. A new support system that isn't confusing and let's yo
