Confused about which watch to buy
I was a garmin user (forerunner 255, 965). Now I have suunto run. I have had it since the beginning of October. I have almost a thousand kilometers run with suunto run. I left garmin because of the crazy prices and because I no longer follow and am not interested in a lot of the data provided by gar

Going to buy Sunto race 1 my concern is watching reviews there are lag and stutter using it in 2025 does the lag doesn't exist anymore?
No. Most of those reviews were based on pre-release software. I know because I received one of those Race's for review pre-release. The worst of the lag was resolved in a zero-day patch. They're never really was a stutter issue, that was more frame rates from cameras making it look like it stuttered

Race S vs Race 2 Software
From what I understand from Suunto strategy, they differentiate their products mainly through hardware differences vs. software. For us consumers that's great cuz they don't paywall or lock features to only more expensive watches. To be honest based on Chase The Summit's youtube review, the UI is li

From Race a Race 2
It's smaller and more compact, yet at the same time has a slightly bigger screen. It's design language is closer to that of the Race S, and many are finding the case design and lug set up to be more comfortable. Newer and better sensor suite if you care about that kind of thing too. But right now it

Deciding to bite the bullet on vertical 2
Keep in mind that REI 20% discount doesn't typically work on GPS watches and other electronics. That aside, Vertical 2 is a great watch if you want to run UTMB, but by the time you are ready to run it and have accumulated 20+ stones to have a good chance in the lottery there will likely be newer and

How accurate is GPS on Run/Race models?
In my experience, Suunto Race is the second most accurate watch that I've ever had out of 9 watches - very good overall but perhaps not excellent. I've never seen any significant accuracy issues even on the most challenging terrain. Distance accuracy is great too! Suunto Race S is very close to Race

Is the Race 2 the best adventure watch right now regardless of price?
I adored my original Race, it was the first smartwatch that really spoke to me. And well things are a little rough with the Race 2 right now, much like the Race 1 at launch, I think it has a lot of potential for growth. There have been a lot of reasonable complaints about the Race 2, I've certainly

Suunto Vertical
I think that the Vertical, especially the solar version is still a compelling option in 2025, even now with the release of the Race 2 and Vertical 2. As both of the second generation watches are very similar to each other (largely boils down to the presence of a rotating crown, the flashlight, and v

Suunto Race Battery Life
When the Race first shipped, it had absolutely fantastic battery life. It would routinely run for well past the advertised range. You could go a month without having to worry about it. But as the software improved and got more complicated, battery life started to go down. For maybe the past year to

I bought Suunto Race S & Coros Pace Pro
I came from Garmin and have been using Race S for about 6 months now, I’ve been very satisfied and feel it’s an upgrade. The watch and software are solid, I don’t really have any complaints. Optical HR is suprisingly accurate, I do use HR belt nowadays but was completely satisfied with the OHR of th
