Thinking about moving away from Polar, can you talk me out of it?

Short answer that became long: I had a V (beside other Polar watches before) and changed to V3 after extensive research incl. using the apps of Suunto and Garmin (the latter I still use for my xc100 rallye pedal). I had the same thoughts like you between the 965 and the Race. So it all comes down to

From Race a Race 2

It's smaller and more compact, yet at the same time has a slightly bigger screen. It's design language is closer to that of the Race S, and many are finding the case design and lug set up to be more comfortable. Newer and better sensor suite if you care about that kind of thing too. But right now it

So all of these are great, but which one to choose?(Suunto Race S, Polar avant m3or coros Pace pro)

I have, and use daily, a Suunto Race 2. I have had the Coros Apex 2 Pro and Coros Pace 2. Essentially, from my experience, Coros and Suunto are on the same level. People complain of all sorts of issues with Suunto, but I have yet to encounter any. The optical heart rate monitor works great, GPS work

Forerunner 965 over Suunto or Coros?

This is a tough one. I had a 745 and then a 955 before switching to Suunto. Tried a 965 and it is big, but fits closer to the wrist than the 955. If you're happy with Garmin, it's a great watch. Note I have smaller wrists, but use my GPS watches mainly during activities and to sleep. I tried a Suunt

Suunto Vertical upgrades and tips.

I'm an outdoor pro, I started my career in emergency survival, moved to mountaineering (in a director of ops role not as a guide), and currently I'm working in backcountry hunting in a very niche capacity. I'm also a civilian working dog handler, but I have a background working with law enforcement

Suunto Watches

Switched to suunto 9 around 4 years ago from garmin 2 days before a triathlon sprint (garmin broke while swimming) They are super robust, had several crashed on the bike and landing on watch while never broke down, amazing battery life and good insights from the app. I’m upgrading my sports watch to

Upgrade from Suunto 9 Peak to....?

The Race, Race S, and Vertical would be great choices if you want could affordable options. Of the three I would focus the most on the Race and Race S. The S is a smaller version of the Race, It's not as durable and doesn't have as good of a battery life but it has updated sensors. The Race 2 draws

New potential Suunto owner

The Vertical has the best battery life, both with it's regular iteration and of course with the solar models. It's the watch that put Suunto back on the map. But it's the oldest of the flagship watches and it's starting to show its age in a few areas. The Race was built directly off of the feedback

What do you value most in a watch? Simplicity or tons of subjective data?

For context: I also cycle and occasionally hike, but the watch for me is primarily used for running. Since last summer, I've been using a Race S Ti for marathon prep. My priorities are reliability, GPS accuracy, and ease of use. A pleasing design is a bonus. Having now recorded in excess of 120 acti

Race s titanium or vertical stainless steel not solar

Suunto has a helpful compare tool: https://apac.suunto.com/pages/compare-watches The titanium is really durable, I've been really impressed how my full size Race has held up. It'll make an already light and reasonably durable watch lighter and more durable. The Race S is the smaller version of the R
