It takes the gps position at the point of entry and ascent, and uses compass, gyroscope, magnometer, pressure sensors to provide a 3d map of your dive. It's excellent! Suunto Ocean or Nautic S are fantastic. I've been able to set up my Ocean exactly as I want it since the last update. Pod transmitter works perfectly. The underwater mapping is amazing!!! And it can be used as a smart watch... I was diving in Vietnam and also used my Ocean to navigate on my scooter.

I don't think I will go with AI, at least for now, since I only dive while traveling. that being said, I only take dive's shop equipment beside mask and hopefully dive computer.
