What is the best sports watch for cross-country skiing?
I'm an avid cross-country skier and recently switched from a Suunto 9 Peak Pro to a Garmin Forerunner 970. The Forerunner is gorgeous. Finds my HR belt instantly, locks on GPS satellites instantly, etc. Never fails on me even at -20C when worn over the jacket. It's highly customizable with features

SuuntoPlus Store and watch faces
Woke up to think my watch factory reset itself. I'm not sure what to do and it seems like nobody has an answer. I restarted my watch, checked for app updates (there weren't any), synced my watch, and restarted my phone. That's really annoying. I don't know why the faces aren't just saved to the watc

Other than being beautiful, what does Suunto do better than others?
I WANT to drop Garmin and get a Suunto. Everything time I do (9 Peak Pro & Race 2), within a month I am back to my Garmin. Suunto’s ecosystem is not very customizable, lacks a depth of information, and frankly looks dated. Their physical watches are infinitely better than Garmin and are priced more

Looking to buy first watch
Suunto sports watches (and those from other manufacturers) don't require a phone connection during activity. Keep in mind that the Suunto 9PP doesn't have topographic maps, only breadcrumbs on a black background. This works quite conveniently as long as you're following a pre-planned and pre-loaded

Suunto 9PP or Garmin FR255? (Beginner)
I’ve got a 9PP and a FR955, which is very similar to the 255. The 9PP has much longer battery life when recording activities. Materials quality is higher (steel/titanium and sapphire vs plastic and gorilla glass). The 9PP is a bit smaller, though not lighter. I find the Suunto route planner much bet

Suunto or Garmin for a smaller sports watch?
The only real issue for me is the size, to be honest. I’ve also had a few bugs with the 9 Peak Pro that made me look into Garmin. Several times this year my watch wouldn’t sync with the app, and I had to restart it completely just to get it working again. I really like the Suunto app and the overall

Race 2 app connectivity vs 9PP
App connection has been for the most part pretty stable. Recently I've had some minor connection bugs on the app side, but a forced restart of the app instantly solves it, as it does most issues with the Suunto app. I key bit of context here is I'm on Android. I haven't really been tracking the issu

Need help deciding between Coros Pace 4/Pro and Suunto Race S
I have a Suunto 9 peak pro I use for running and swimming about 1.5 years old. I have never used it for recover metrics because the app is not great and very complicated. I have a whoop (pre Suunto) that I have always used for recovery metrics. About 3-4 months ago the battery started to go and last

Edit: Apologies, I missed that this was for the 9 Peak Pro. Many of the things they wrote about won't apply because 9 Peak Pro because it doesn't have offline maps and it's a older watch. But in broad strokes it remains the same. You should have no problem that I'm aware of with your intended use ca

Deciding between Suunto Race 2 / Garmin Fenix 8 / Garmin Forerunner 970 / Apple Watch Ultra 3. Pool swimming and diving issues.
Wow, you did a very good research. I try to make it short: If price is not an option, you like the Garmin Connect (ecoystem) and you like a bigger watch, take the Garmin fenix. It costs more, but it has a software more mature. Sometimes it is a little confusing, for example understanding all the opt
