UK Lords propose ban on VPNs for children

My assumption from what I've seen so far is that it would be targeting companies that sell VPNs as a service such as Nord, Surfshark and some of the others. They'll probably want us to submit ID to those companies to make an account. It's beautifully ironic, because I trust my VPN provider with my d

What is a good VPN to use here in Japan?

ProtonVPN is not the cheapest for paid, but they are the ONLY (and I mean ONLY) "Free VPN" that is not a shady Chinese/Russian company trying to infect you with malware. ProtonVPN is the ONLY exception to the "Never use a free VPN" rule. https://protonvpn.com/free-vpn Try it out on the free tier and

That moment the youtuber mentions personal data

I appreciate it when they try to be different like a skit. When it's just a boring script read then boooo. One of my favourite silly segues was a skyrim video and they saud "speaking of nords, this video is sponsored by... surfshark..." and I honestly found that bit if absolute silliness funny.

Is anyone else having issues connecting to the internet via desktop?

I'm not a huge surfshark fan but each day I connect to the same US server (I'm in the usa) and it just connects and stays connected 99% of the time with no speed issues or anything...I'm not doing anything special.

i skimmed half of it and still feel like Nord and Surfshark are the default picks unless someone has a niche use case.

any trustworthy VPNs that don't steal your personal data?

Mullvad it is. An alternative would be Proton VPN. If you are fine with VPNs that may comply with government requests for data and identification then more paid options such as ExpressVPN, Surfshark, NordVPN etc. can be good. On the lowest side you have Pango Group that owns many VPNs like Betternet

I signed on to Surfshark (and extended my subscription) through promotional offers (e.g. YouTube, Bla
