Sovol Toolchanger — More details from last weeks livestream
I feel ya, unfortunately I think flying gantries just aren't the ideal type of printer for tool changers. Whether it's increased print time due to repeated Z travel for stationary tool mounts or for gantry tool mounts, you're dealing with lots of tubes and wires moving around I guess. I definitely s

The H2C Review: Better Than a Toolchanger?
Its perfect for me. Fast prototyping with breakaway supports and two materials, easy with Engineering Materials, Option to do a reasonable multicolorprint, decent size. If this thing works, I am maybe selling all of my printers to leave the emtional damage behind. Ender 3 v3 se. Money grave, only re

Having some issues with 0.2mm printing
Thanks. I normally print 0.04 mm layers with my 0.4mm nozzle on my other printer and it works excellently. I'm printing 0.04 mm and 0.06 mm layers here on my SV08 because I want to print something bigger than my CC can. The reason I'm using the 0.2mm nozzle is mainly because my 0.4mm nozzle is a hig

Sovol SV08 Max
While it -is- an 8mm bed, it's also a 500mm² bed size and 8mm won't cut it for avoiding warp with that span. The bed will come up short again and the deflection is going to be comparable to the original sv08, albeit slightly better proportionally. A graphite or glass bed would be much less problemat

Is the Sovol SV08 or SV08 Max worth it? If so which one is better?
I literally barely had a place big enough to put a regular SV08 do all you people have 3 foot deep workbenches/shelves? lol.

Your opinion abot the RatRig V-Core 4.1 (500) for a specific use case (slow vase mode printing)
I purchased the sv08 max for a similar use as yours. I considered the ratrig but chickened out. The part of the build that was problematic for me was commissioning the software. Seems ratrig has solved that problem with the latest version. With the max, anything more than occasional use is a “not re

Free your minds! DIY no-stabs build.
Sovol SV08 (the "we have Voron at home!" printer), and this case JUUUUUST barely fit at 45 degrees. I couldn't even go a single half-column wider and keep it all in one piece, at least not while printing flat on the bed. Speaking of keeping it one piece, I had to slow the printer down by a third to

Printer recommendations
If you’re into cosplay, maybe consider a Qidi Max 4. The 390x390 build plate isn’t as big as the SV08, but it’s bigger than most printers in that price point. And I feel like it’s a very polished product compared to Qidi’s earlier products and the Sovol products. I’d only consider a Sovol product to

Alright I’ll say it…..
I don't know, I've only partially looked at the specs on this printer and so far I'm a bit underwhelmed. I do need to watch some reviews to get more detail since (shockingly) there's been some misinformation as how to the second nozzle works what it can do etc. I still wish they'd do something along

Which 3d printer should I buy... For learning about the printer itself? (FDM)
I started with one that was probably a fire hazard and a real trial to make, as the sources for parts that exist today were non-existent: https://www.reprap.org/wiki/Huxley As for self sourcing, I would only recommend if you want specific parts or higher quality stuff. Formbot parts are lower qualit
