Eli5: why would someone buy an sv07 instead of an sv06 ace?

SV07 is far easier to mod/upgrade as it uses standard, off-the-shelf parts for the frame. Whilst yes the Sovol SV06 ACE is "open source" and the hardware specs are all published on github with schematics, some parts - particularly the X and Y rails - use SG15 wheels on custom-fabricated rails (6mm s

Sv06 plus ace creations

You’ll notice that almost everything I printed here is with Sunlu PLA, which I honestly think is amazing. To give you an example: I printed a pink bird feeder in PLA and put it outside on my balcony in full sun all day in May (I live in the countryside in Italy, where it gets insanely hot — like 40°

What is the best 3D printer i can get for around 200 dollars or less for electronics proyects

I’m a big fan of the Sovol brand. Open source and they make great machines. I got the SV06+Ace for $300. They have cheaper, but that’s my recommendation. It only prints one color, but it has a 300x300x350mm print bed. I use it almost purely for functional prints.

Is there anything I should know about the bambu P1S before buying?

In fact everyone should look at Sovol. Want a cheap bed slinger with levelling? SV06 plus ACE. Want something more suited to printing for ants? Sovol Zero. Wanna go outrageously huge? SV08 Max, at 500mm cubed. The ridiculous amount of features they cram in at decent prices, and currently claiming "f

Buying a first printer SV06

I have the sovol sv06 and the ace everyone is mentioning. Both are great printers. You can get amazing prints from the sv06 though it may require a little bit more manual calibration. You'll likely get acceptable prints right away with just the most basic 10 minute calibration, but you may need to s

Beginner looking for relatively cheap printer for models

Sovol SV06 Ace. 220220230 mm build volume. Easy to assemble. Dual motor z axis for dimensional accuracy. Fully open source design as far as I am aware. Open source Klipper firmware. This launched one month after I bought my A1 mini from Bambu, and that hurt. Avoid Bambu and anything with proprietary

3D printable extrusions without a length limit

It's the sv06 ace plus, next to a soval sv06. I love it! My girlfriend sells a lot of 3d printed stuff. More on the resin side than the fdm side, but she's incredibly jealous and looking to upgrade from cr-10s to sovols.

I have to admit i was.a little skeptical because what i read, but for now, i am happy with it. The only thing i will be trying is some mod on the psu cooler, i find i

Is the Ender 3 still a good option for beginners?

Wouldn't more modern machines like the Sovol SV06 Ace more or less completely replace the niche that the Ender 3 once held? The SV06 Ace is a simple platform open to tinkering, but at a much higher performance level than the old machines.
