Have you bought a 3D printer for FPV?
I resisted for many years, I only got one this winter. I would definitely say it's worth it, I've had loads of fun making useful prints whenever I want to, or even designing my own. As for which printer to pick, I think it mostly just boils down to what you want from it. If you only want it as a too

Screw it, we ball... (search for a ground up build of A1 Mini)
Tbh, at that rate I'd go buy a Sovol Zero - I imagine if you're buying all the parts yourself to attempt am A1mini clone build you might end up in the same ball park. I imagine others might have other suggestions. All that time and energy you would otherwise spend sourcing, assembling and testing ca

Eli5: why would someone buy an sv07 instead of an sv06 ace?
SV07 is far easier to mod/upgrade as it uses standard, off-the-shelf parts for the frame. Whilst yes the Sovol SV06 ACE is "open source" and the hardware specs are all published on github with schematics, some parts - particularly the X and Y rails - use SG15 wheels on custom-fabricated rails (6mm s

Sv06 plus ace creations
You’ll notice that almost everything I printed here is with Sunlu PLA, which I honestly think is amazing. To give you an example: I printed a pink bird feeder in PLA and put it outside on my balcony in full sun all day in May (I live in the countryside in Italy, where it gets insanely hot — like 40°

I learned something tonight…
Just cranking up "print speed" with the knob doesn't get the job done. First you have to calibrate max flowrate (there a tab for it in orca, also pls read the tutorial on this: https://www.obico.io/blog/maximum-volumetric-speed-test-in-orcaslicer-a-comprehensive-guide/) Next you (most definetly) hav

Buying a first printer SV06
I would consider buying SV06 ACE instead. It is newer model that has more rigid construction, is faster and has some more nice to have features like fully automatic bed leveling (printer does everything for you, you don't need to tinker with it at all), easy to use touchscreen, WiFi connectivity wit

Does building a Voron make sense in 2026
Really depends on what your goal is. They do make sense to build. They make LESS sense as a first printer. Given they are made of printed parts... usually the first step is using your existing printer, to build your voron. The Trident IS the correct printer. 300 IS a good decision. Print quality is

How can i get a profile for my sv06 plus ace on cura
You can choose another printer with similar kinematics and tweak the settings to match the sv06 ace. You could choose an ender 3 v3 or similar. Change the bed size and maximum print height if required. Idk what sovol uses for print start and end gcode or macros but as long as you choose a klipper ba

Are Sovol Printers Good?
It depends on your definition on "good printer". They are having good price to performance ratio, but you will need to do more little bit more maintenance on them than on Prusa or Bambulab printers. Also printing profiles for them will need some slight tuning from you to get perfect results. Yes, So
