Emma’s Earbuds (headphones?)
Yes! I don't know if I said a brand on the pod, but I have a few different pairs, I'll list them below! One thing I always consider is active noise canceling versus passive noise canceling. Active noise canceling is what AirPods and similar headphones provide. This means they use specific frequencie

best tracking headphones under 400
Closed back and critical are not really compatible traits if you mean "critical" as in very accurate headphones. For tracking, the industry standard headphones you see in pretty much every studio ever are either going to be Sony MDR7506 or some kind of Audio Technica, probably ATH-M50x. I use both o

Today my career in music production begins. I worked hard and achieved it, I finally have my first audio interface 😄
Headphones are always a tough recommendation due to how individual tastes can vary, as well as particular needs. If your primary concern is mixing and don't need to worry about bleed, AKG K240s are well-liked. I've used my open-back Sennheiser HD6xx here and there, but haven't really dug in to a mix

Best headphones for Video Editing.
Sony MDR7506 or Sennheiser HD280 Pro are the OG standards. 280s aren't as comfy but block basically everything so they are also great for field recording.

What's the deal with Lossless?
You are asking a good question. It's allegedly headphones with active noise cancellation which can lead to the pressure/suction feeling, when worn for extended periods of time. The Sony MDR7506 does not have that issue. It doesn't have active noise cancelling, only the natural passive muffling inher

Headphones
I use Sony MDR 7506 and I don't feel a need to upgrade for sound quality. I also have Sennheiser 560s which definitely better for when I'm sitting in a quiet room listening to music, but they are open back so they aren't good for eDrumming because they let more pad noise through. Even thought I have

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro vs Vic Firth SIH3 Stereo Isolation
Have you considered something like the Sony MDR-7506? I find using Studio headphones with my electric kits gives me the best overall sound and sound isolation. The 7506s are just about $100.

I’m considering the Sennheiser HD 550 for mixing/mastering. I don’t want “fun” headphones with boosted bass or sharp highs—I need something neutral and honest. My current cheap headphones lie to me and mixes don’t translate to car, speakers, or phone. Want a reliable reference sound.
Sony MDR 7506 is a good choice for this, they just take a little while to get used to. I also like the Audio Technica M50s, great sound and isolation, they do have a bit of a bass boost you need to account for.

Best microphone for my situation.
Also earplugs or closed earphones will be useful, like Audio Technica M40X or Sony 7506.
