Good camera for family life?
If you’re worried about size then definitely look for a used Sony a6400 with the kit lens which should fall exactly at this price point with under 15k shutter count. Any other Sony a6000+ can also work. The only one that is better than the a6400 is the a6600, which usually go for closer to 800. (And

Can Sony Ever Feel Like Fuji?
I don't think that's quite it but maybe a club-handed shorthand? I shoot both sony (a74, a6600, rx100v) and fujifilm X-T5. I like them both and use them differently. The crop sensors are more portable with smaller glass so they are great for travel, either the sony or the fujifilm. I use the full fr

Beginner photography camera?
Don't get a full frame for street photography! You have to enjoy carrying it and that will make you get out there and shoot more. the body and lenses are too much of a hassle for most for full frame. (I own full frame systems and apsc) If you're getting something brand new, something like a canon r1

Any other options?
I did not expect this comment section to be so toxic, wow haha. Honestly, this is a fine place to start. The a6600 has a bigger battery than other Sony crop sensors so that’s good, and it’s definitely a very small form factor. Keep in mind that because you’re prioritizing cost and versatility, you’r

X-T4 would be out because size wise it is only really slimmer front to back than what you have. Sony makes the most sense size wise but unless you find an A6600 for cheap you are not getting IBIS or even good weather resistance. The Olympus makes sense although technically you will get slightly wors

Getting the Sony a6600 or the a6700. If you have either, what is your favorite lens to use?
Hello! I have been using a a6700 for the past year. I’d highly recommend the a6700 over the a6600 for a few reasons. Video specs are better, has a 26 instead of 24 megapixel sensor, it has a fully articulating!!!! screen, has slightly better ergonomics, front dial vs no front dial and the a6700 has

First mirrorless camera (Sony ZV-E10 vs Fujifilm X-M5?) need advice!
I'd also consider the Sony a6600- I've seen it on sale for 56k (body only)- which paired with a good prime lens will definitely be in your budget. Advantages being an EVF, IBIS and terrific battery life in a body not too much bigger than the models you mentioned. Also a great lens ecosystem as well.

Travel Camera Under $1,000?
I think you should look at the Sony line- maybe the a6400 or a7iii with kit lenses if you’re looking at used. 6400 is more travel friendly, but the a7 gives you a full frame sensor. Sony cameras are the best when it comes to 3rd party lenses, with lots of options that are affordable. The lenses you

Advice for first camera
If you're into street photography, I'd say the Sony a6700 is your best bet. Its sensor has IBIS, which is super handy for low-light street shots. I've used a bunch of cameras like the a6700, a6400, A7mk3, Canon 600D, and Canon R50, so I'm speaking from experience here. I actually own a Sony a6600 an

Why does everyone here recommend Full Frame to beginners when M43 seems objectively better for them?
some people have money to burn and discovered the sony trend etc and show it off to friends and family which is understandable, it is worth it but a7c series is much smarter for sure then can get an a7rv or a1 later if need it, a6700 do be the sweet spot, basically a7cr crop mode IQ with 11fps. i lo
