Audio is NOT a cheap hobby, never has been, but you won't get much for a total of $300 so piece it out. You will also need an amplifier and speakers for a turntable. For an amp, I'd suggest a Fosi Audio ZA3 ($119 @ Amazon) -OR- an Aiyima A07 MAX 2 ($66 Black Friday sale: I've got one of these in my

The Fosi Z stack is a thing of beauty!
Oh I’ve looked into some kefs but I’m on the Sony sscs5. I got the sscs5 M2 for around $150 on Black Friday. Considering they’re going for around $280 now, Im super happy with the performance. I can turn them up and up and not get fatigued. I am curious about the ls 50s tho but more realistically, I

CD Collectors of Reddit: What CD Player do You Use?
Cambridge Audio AXC35 I have it connected to a Fosi BT20A amp powering a pair of Sony SSCS5 bookshelf speakers. Good enough for me.

Buying a bookshelf-stereo system
The speakers that come with those kinds of mini-hifi systems are probably always going to be crappy. There’s simply not enough budget to get great components. For somewhat cheap but decent stand-alone passive speakers, look into e.g. these. Maybe you can find some second hand: Polk Audio Monitor XT2

What are the best value speakers under 100, 70 or 50 bucks?
I’ll give American options, used. Pioneer SP-BS22 used for around 80$ Sony Core SS-CS5 maybe 75-90$ Micca MB42X 60-90$ Dayton Audio B652-AIR 50-70$ Insignia NS-B2111 80$ Paradigm titan v2/3 $100ish Read up on each, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these nearfield. Just depends on what type

65in OLED
Yeah, the speakers in those little soundbars are so small I don't see how it could have any acceptable bass. For not much more money, a good pair of powered speakers would sound soooo much better. Personally, I use the Sony SS-CS5 bookshelf speakers with the matching center channel, and an Onkyo TX-

2.1 Speaker recommendation for bass music?
Don’t think you can get speakers and a sub for that amount. But, I’ve always loved every Polk speaker that I’ve ever owned. The ES-20 will come in slightly above your budget, but sound great and deliver the best bass that bookshelves alone can in that price range. Definitely worth a look. If you wan

What bookshelf speakers should I purchase for a warm sound?
I’ve been very happy with Sony SS-CS5 an outstanding value. Chosen as best value speaker by CheapAudioMan. I’ve since upgraded to Elac DFR52 floorstanders, Elac UCR52 center and Elac UBR62. If you’re looking for a stereo speaker setup I highly recommend the Elac UBR 62s. They’re bookshelf speakers a

Why are TV series getting more difficult to watch?
Let me tell you, good speakers can be had on the (relatively) cheap: my setup is two Sony SS-CS5 bookshelf speakers that I picked up for $100 on sale, a retro Klipsch subwoofer that I picked up on Marketplace for $30, and an industrial/commercial Crown speaker camp that I picked up along with the su
