Need camera recommendations for better low light professional quality.

Sony ZV-E1. You can buy used ones for less than $1500. Camera has the same low light sensor as the A7Siii/fx3.

Canon 1DX II video setup — still relevant in 2025 for €4200?

My main question would be why there's 2 lenses there that are essentially doing the same thing. I'd also not bother with a gimbal as a beginner too fwiw and why 2 tripods? The 1DXii was a great camera in its day but it's really starting to show its age now If you're a beginner i'd look at something

Switching from Canon to Sony - yes or no?

As someone who works with both professionally, I prefer Sony. If I was to start today with a new camera (and a low budget), I’d go with the Sony ZV-E1 just to get that sensor at the lowest price possible. But LUMIX is a fantastic option as well. A GH5 or GH6. A used GH5 might be the best value for a

What's the new sought after cameras today?

Sony FX3 is kinda where the consumer high end went. Lumix with the S5IIx is the best value for money right now. The Sony FX30/ZVE1 and Lumix S9 make for great small form factor video machines. Most of today’s cameras make a great image but are limited by how long you need them to run, cameras used t

Wow! The M11-P hits $20K (in my country - around $13K US)

I've only bought one camera (Sony ZV-E1) new in my life because the used prices were close to brand new. The rest of my cameras I have bought used (both from private sale and reputable shops) and I've had 0 issues with any of them. Isn't it better to just buy used from a reputable dealer and get a c

Will the fx3 drop in price?

From watching price development of higher end Sony camera gear over time it seems that second hand prices only ever move when Sony themselves releases a successor. Despite opinionated people on the internet constantly talking about how such and such other brand new release will "pressure" or even "k

Will I regret buying the FX30 instead of the FX3?

Not in my experience. I could do a whole day of 3-7 minute clips and not even get a warning. It’s the real long extended shots like trying to shoot an hour long talk that overheats the thing, and it seemed to happen faster using the AI auto-framing (which is absolutely awesome by the way). Like the

Sony ZV-E1 or FX3 is the video quality actually the same?

yeah a lot of people hate on the ZV because it offers so much compared to the high price of entry for an FX3. Its more than enough for most people starting out. If Im being real though, the overheating is a serious issue for professional work…but I only had it happen when ripping a ton of slow mo an

Returning my FX30 - What's the right upgrade from GH5 for event/social media work?

Go with the Sony ZV-E1. Significantly cheaper than FX3/A7S3 (especially if you're willing to buy used). Same sensor with great low light capabilities. AF is supposedly better than those cameras. And you get 4K60 SLog3 in 10 bit. If you're shooting run and gun (which it seems like you are), the ZV-E1

ZV-E1 for $1,414 (Best Buy Open-Box) vs FX3a for $2,900 — am I missing something?

The ZV-E1 is pretty great and would be perfect for family events and travel (using Cinetone for video). I usually pair mine with a Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN (which has lovely bokeh, by the way) and I love how compact the setup is. For that price, I wouldn't hesitate, especially since you already have o
