Received my a6700 and kit lens. More than a little annoyed.

The Sony a6700 is huge in my small female hands having come from the nex 5n, a6000 and ZV-1 lol. I do still have my Nikon DSLR cameras and lenses so of course it's smaller than that, but I'm still amused when people talk about the a6700 and Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 lens ( which I also have ) as " a very c

Need advice for a new cam

I picked up a Sony NEX-5 recently as a side camera and it’s pretty stellar for the age and price, very small and easy to use, if you get the pocket flash for it tho it has a maximum 1/160 shutter speed so keep that in mind for fast moving sets

Sony NEX5T for a newb ?

Honestly, for a beginner, an NEX-5 wouldn't be a bad option. I mean, the camera has the Sony E-mount, which is still used on Sony's current lineup of cameras, so you can upgrade your camera and still use the same lenses.

A reality check on camera prices, courtesy of Popular Photography Dec. 2005.

Part of the allure of vintage digicams 3 - 6 years ago was that we could more easily get a previously pricey and/or interesting model for relatively little money, compared to what they cost when new. And with increased interest, that window is closing. Since the supply of vintage cameras generally c

How Did You Choose Your Camera Brand?

I wanted to attach a compact APS-C camera to my telescope. Sony had the smallest and most affordable options by far, especially in 2015. So I got a used NEX-5T and ten years later I’m still embedded in the E-mount ecosystem.
