[Digital Camera World] The new Sony A7R VI has the highest resolution fully stacked sensor yet (67 MP) – but that’s not even the biggest change

But still significantly more rolling shutter than the A1II which reads out 5x faster, or global shutter in the A9III which has no rolling shutter. The A7R was always usable for sports as long as you were fine with 10FPS with the mechanical shutter and the low buffer depth. The Nikon D4 from 2012 whi

Got the X2D II & 20-35E! Need Suggestions!!!

Fwiw the X2D is kind of a specialised tool, I think the fact that you’re forced to use the ginormous and expensive 35-100 just for AF-C is a symptom of that. Don’t get me wrong I also use a camera that’s far too big (GFX 100 with a 45-100), but over the years I’ve come to think that while the 100mp

It’s faster than a7rv which was insanely slow…But not exactly fast. I doubt any pro sport shooter will use this when other options exist. https://m.dpreview.com/articles/0909713709/no-the-sony-a7r-vi-isn-t-a-cut-price-a1-ii

Official Gear Purchasing and Troubleshooting Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! July 14, 2025

Usually I would wait, but my trip to Paris will happen in 14 days. And I can still trade the camera when I switch to a better model next year. And also, the situation on the Sony side can change when the A7 V / A7R VI will be released in late 2025/early 2026. I looked on some camera shops nearby and

Again it was always usable with 10FPS mechanical shutter. You're limited more with buffer depth with 30FPS since you get 70 frames depending on what RAW quality you're shooting. https://petapixel.com/2026/05/13/sony-a7r-vi-review-the-high-resolution-camera-to-rule-them-all/ (Ctrl+F "Buffer" for that

Fully Stacked Sensor In The Future?

I was going to even make that point. If Sony announced the sensor tomorrow. It probably take Hassy until the X4D to use it maybe even 5 because that be a huge change. I don’t even want to say it’s not possible because I didn’t believe Sony was going to make the A7R VI stacked yet here we are.

Check my Z5 II logic before I spend money?

Check out all the cameras in person if you can. The R6II is going to be the closest to the Z5II and the AF is fantastic, same with the A7CII. The A7CII has a really awful EVF and as a former A7C owner, that was the one thing that made me switch to a camera with a higher resolution EVF with more accu

FX3 ii Predictions

Internal Raw Could Still Happen, at least 10bit. Now, if they want to give us 16bit external, I’m fine with that. But if the Nikon ZR can deliver that for $2K, I feel like it’s not a huge ask of Sony. Now for the NDs… That was Definitely wishful thinking on my part. It’s doubtful Sony will even deli
