Leica Will Increase Camera and Lens Prices Again in the US This Week

Lmao you can’t be serious. A7RV bundled with 28-70 f/2.8 gmii from B&H: $5746 A Leica M11, the fcking base model, is $9840. A 50mm Summicron ASPH is $9945. You can get a pro grade Sony with a pro lens for less than half the cost of a Leica body or a prime Leica aspherical lens. The value proposition

Anybody go from S5IIX to S1RII?

I switched from Sony (a7r5, a1) to Panasonic last year. Picked up the s5iix and a few lenses. I fell in love with video on that camera, and for photos is was pretty good, but nothing I would write home about coming from those two Sony bodies. I’ve since purchased the s9 (which I love for a small wal

OM3 users: how annoying is the colour dial at the front of the camera?

The dial doesn't bother me in the slightest (and I have large hands) and I use it daily. I love this far improved access and customisability to jpg pre-sets (I always shoot RAW so always have access to the coloured versions) over other OM cameras. I have 3x OM and 3x Sony cameras (used Sony exclusiv

Most photographers don’t need better gear, they need better taste

I just upgraded from a Sony a7Riii to a7RV and what a difference! I know they aren't the go to for sports but I like motorsports and they do me well at the track while still working great for all the other stuff away from the track. The auto focus alone on the A7RV is worth the upgrade. It picks up

Real World Reviews for X2D II

Perspective: This is my first digital "medium format" camera (as opposed to someone upgrading from another Hasselblad or Fuji model), and I am a hobbyist in my photography (used to do some professional work on the side, but burnt out from it and focus on my own projects now) I have been extremely im

So glad I didn't listen to the naysayers – this camera is phenomenal!

This camera has more advantages than disadvantages. The YouTubers who have tested this camera have only used it for a few days or even hours, so I don't think their opinions are well-founded. I'm getting happier with it every day. I also have a Sony a7rV, and on this last trip, the Sony stayed home.

Advantages of Canon flip out screen to Sony tilt screen?

Sony and Lumix's Tilt / flip out is clearly the best of both worlds. It's in the a9iii, a1ii, a7rv, a7v for Sony, and the S1ii, S1Rii, S1iiE for Lumix. But that said, is it really worth switching for? Sony's closest offerings to the R5ii (that have the screen you want) are either slower and higher r

Camera recommendations

My recommendations will change slightly based on what you want to take pictures of AND your budget (to get beyond gopro pics): Shoestring bottom budget $2000 - TG system with olympus housing and Backscatter MF strobe. Good all around camera with top tier macro and acceptable wide capabilities Midran

SL2-S or save for a SL3/-S?

I went through a similar thought process after i bought my M10-R and several M lenses several years ago. I loved shooting the M10-R and thought it would be a great idea to replace my D850 with a Leica mirrorless SL2 (and several Leica SL lenses) as a complement to my rangefinder. The short answer is
