Is om system om-3 a good buy at 1800 euro with 12-45 f4 pro kit lens?
The OM-3 is absolutely NOT a novelty camera. It is the one I reach for first out of all my 6 cameras (3 x Oly and 3 x Sony) and can do things my Sonys can only dream of. That said it is horses for courses and it depends on what, when and how you are shooting something. For street and travel the Om-3

OM3 users: how annoying is the colour dial at the front of the camera?
The dial doesn't bother me in the slightest (and I have large hands) and I use it daily. I love this far improved access and customisability to jpg pre-sets (I always shoot RAW so always have access to the coloured versions) over other OM cameras. I have 3x OM and 3x Sony cameras (used Sony exclusiv

Real World Reviews for X2D II
Perspective: This is my first digital "medium format" camera (as opposed to someone upgrading from another Hasselblad or Fuji model), and I am a hobbyist in my photography (used to do some professional work on the side, but burnt out from it and focus on my own projects now) I have been extremely im

4 days, 3 nights on the Teton Crest Trail a few weeks ago
Thanks so much! I shot these on my Sony A7rV with a Tamron 28-200 lens. It's a... lot to lug around, but I think the photos are worth it!

Do I need to keep my primes?
Keep the primes. Those are two of my favorite lenses, especially the 45. It’s so compact yet very sharp and gives you some more light versus the zoom. You won’t gain much towards creating a more compact setup with a pancake but you will give up a lot of speed and sharpness. They have also been out f

Which zoom lens should I buy - Nikon 180-600mm or Sony 200-600 mm?
I use both Sony and OM (and previously Nikon) and used the 200-600 for safari last year (on an A7r5). I currently use the 300/4 (a 600mm FF equivalent FoV) and it's a fabulous lens (replaced the 100-400). Masses of feather detail. I used to use 500/4 and 600/4 primes but those days are long gone. Th

Hard to Know if I’m Underpacking or Overpacking for an 18 Day Roadtrip Around Spain and Portugal
I find it much easier traveling with film cameras compared to digital. I tend to overpack, and use about half of what I actually take. Last trip through mainland China which was 2 weeks, I had my Minolta XD-7 SLR, Pentax 17 half frame, and Pentax K3 III DSLR. I hardly used the DSLR, so heavy, large,

Is it still worth it to purchase in 2026?
Same. It's output is good for its sensor size. Sometimes I'm disappointed but that's because I have a Sony a7rV too and I shouldn't expect the same quality haha. For a pocket camera for street walks it's fine. It's great for concerts and sporting events because of the zoom. Agree if OP doesn't need

Packing for safari in Tanzania. Did I overdo it?”
I've always used a Tamron 50-400 mm lens with an a7r5 on safaris and found it to be perfect. I also have a Sony 200-600 mm that I use for birding but 200 mm would be way too narrow for safaris, where animals are often relatively close and often quite large – you'd struggle to photograph elephants an

Travel: Sony A7CII vs Fuji X100VI?
I've got the A7R V and the X100VI, and I much prefer the X100VI for travel because it's smaller and because I don't need to edit the photos. As soon as I'm back at the hotel or Airbnb, all I need to do is import them, and that's it. I got the X100VI in Japan and really liked that process there. Auto
