Convince me to keep my GM1
Well, AFAIK they have a decent resale value so if you're not using it you might as well move on from it. There's two main reasons I fell in love with the smallest M4/3 body options and why I still have two of them tho (GM1 & GX850 but I prefer the latter): A) they're good bodies to take to concerts

Brand new S9 + 20-60mm vs Used Sony A7C for family/travel photos. No brainer?
it was for me. I'm also in the no EVF is fine camp and lumix handles the e shutter fine (to avoid banding). I LOVE that it's full frame and (for me) the 18-40mm is a dream. So small but also a perfect range for me. I've owned most of the 5D bodies with a 17-40mm... I've shot sony. I've owned an A7c.

Is there anyone who has used both Sony and Olympus cameras?
I have the a6300, a7ii and a7r4. On the Olympus side, I have the OM-1.ii and E-P7. I don't use the kit lens on the Olympus cameras - I mostly use the 12-40/2.8 PRO. The Sony kit lens is shit, and the kit lenses I have for my older Olympus cameras are excellent, and so are samples I've seen online fo

Hot take-Most photographers can live without Aperture and MF rings
Most of my lenses don’t have an aperture ring, it depends on the camera I’m using. On my Sony a7riv, I don’t need an aperture ring because I have a bunch of dials to use. On my Nikon zfc i much prefer an aperture ring because it’s much more comfortable. As for Manual focus, I only use it when doing

Paranoia walking around with 5k camera?

Am I the only one who finds long manual lenses a chore to use?
For all of my manual focus film camera lenses, I have adapters to use them with my Sony Alpha A7R4. And I use them often on digital. I would recommend that you get a handle on how to use them on digital, then return to film.

Is the Z6III right for me?
Not sure this will totally help. But here is my 2 cents worth. I own a Nikon Z7II and formerly owned the Sony A7RII. My wife currently owns the Sony A7RIV and formerly owned the A7C. Having said all that it comes down to what feels best in YOUR hands. These all have great image quality and excellent

Moving from Sony to either Fuji or OM....the OM-3 seems to have everything I want, but....the "Fuji color" and other features are making me second guess
I had a Sony a7r iv and was tired of the huge heavy setup so I sold everything. Luckily the Sony lenses hold their value so I was able to buy both an OM3 and an XT5. I decided I would get telephoto and macro on OM and progress and landscape lenses on XT5 for the 40MP. If I had to cost only one to ke

I'm tired of the hate about the Viltrox lawsuit
Arguably the stepping up and still having sufficient resolution is possible also on Canon (R5 lines) and Nikon (Z7, z8, and Z9 lines) as with Sony (A7R and A1 lines). I agree Sony has a better APS-C lineup as that's the product of Sony's original commitment to APS-C all the way back to NEX camera. E

Today’s EDC dump
It’s a great camera! The mark iii has a great lens ( same as the iv and v models). With the smallrig grip it’s also much more comfortable to hold. I honestly don’t use it everyday, but it’s very lowkey and images look great! I also use a Sony a7riv, a Nikon ZFC, and a canon 5d mark iii, so each day
