Long shot but anyone interested in trading an X2D for my Sony system?

I traded my a7cr + lenses to get into MF with an x2d2. Looking at your lenses, what you might miss is the long lens choices. And possibly the size. Carrying around an X2D with 35-100 is a lot bigger package than the Sony with a 24-70. The longest current lens is 135, similar size to the 35-100, but

Leica Q family is complete

I love the lenses; the simplicity of the menu system; the dials; that it is weather sealed; the size and weight. Everything about the camera is perfect IMHO. I sold my Ricoh GR iii, my Sony Alpha 1, and my Sony A7CR (and a boatload of lenses) because I found I was always reaching for my Leicas.

Joined the club! From Sony to Nikon

I have both a Sony and a Nikon Z camera. I am very much attached to both, and am therefore keeping them though it wasn’t the smartest move (economically speaking) for an enthusiast like me to invest in 2 different brands… (long story how I ended up there, but in short, I can relate to the feeling yo

How bad is the autofocus really?

yeah man asking this here is gonna give you a lot of coping fuji users. i had xt4 and x100vi, latest gen is slightly better but it’s two orders of magnitude worse than sony. it’s so bad. when i look at my fuji images, even the “in focus” ones aren’t quite in focus when checking the eye. it’s not the

Help me decide Q343 vs A7CR

I actually went from a Sony a7CR to the Q3 43. Here was my reasoning (I hope it helps): -my favorite focal length and favorite lens was the Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM; the 43mm APO is arguable the only lens that could top that for me -I’ve always loved the Leica family and wanted to be part of it -as much a

Is there a good reason to choose Leica SL3 over other brands?

For people who buy this system, I think it comes down to lenses. I haven't shot them, but the APO lenses are highly praised although expensive as shit and large. If you don't have the sort of budget that extends to Leica's APO glass, personally I don't see any point getting the camera. I have bought

Leica guy shoots a Nikon.

It depends on the camera. Recent models have thinner glass on the sensor so the performance is better. The A7CR is faring better than my older Sonys for sure . I haven’t compared the CR to my A1ii yet but given what I’ve researched it should be on par with the CR. Also overall it seems to be more pr

Rather scan with a Scanner or DSLR?

Scanner has 2 super powers. 1) IR scan to avoid scratches and dusts 2) multi-pass scan to avg out the noise and increase color accuracy. Digital camera has some super power too! 1) full 16bit RAW, capability for white balance adjustments, finer color grading. 2) higher and sharper resolution (you ca

M11 to M10 or Zf?

Have you updated firmware? Wasn’t there a magenta shift issue? I have M11-P & Q3.. trying to decide which one stays (I have a Sony ‘fam cam’).. but M11-P with Voigtlander lenses renders much more ‘shadowy’ than my Q3. I’m in Hawaii now and brought Q3 but not M11-P. Q3 did great but I miss the M. I f

current rx100 is being discounted by $200, could this mean the V8 is on the way?

There were a few reasons why I didn’t get along with the X100VI, and why I returned it to keep the RX1R III, even though I have an X-H2S (soon to be replaced by an as yet unknown Sony). The first was the autofocus performance. My X-H2S is acceptable, if not Sony good, but the X100VI is only ok in AF
