Leica guy shoots a Nikon.

Haaa. FWIW I AF my M lenses on Sony and Nikon with the techart adapters. Works better with some lenses than others but it’s generally great. Nocti 35mm / A7CR combo works so well I let my Q343 go last week.

Joined the club! From Sony to Nikon

I have both a Sony and a Nikon Z camera. I am very much attached to both, and am therefore keeping them though it wasn’t the smartest move (economically speaking) for an enthusiast like me to invest in 2 different brands… (long story how I ended up there, but in short, I can relate to the feeling yo

Looking to get into the Leica system.

All the q3 did for me was to sell it so I can buy a better leica m240. Q3 is just a sony a7cr with worse autofocus, increased startup time, fixed lens, same sensor and worse battery life. So glad I got rid of it. Even image becomes jittery when focusing. Also white balance and auto exposure are off.

Computational photography, is it worth it? Do you use it much?

I have an om5 and 3 and have used or own several other MFT bodies along with most other mounts and brands. The om5 was one of my favourite bodies for size, weight and abilities for stills until I got the om3. The autofocus on the om3 is the best I have used on any body for subject tracking. I tested

OM-3 vs A7CII as a carry-everywhere dog walking camera, anyone made the same call?

I have an om3 and a7cr same body and features as a7cii. Both are weather sealed so that is not an issue. The Sony af is better except for birds where the om I find better for BIF. It has auto subject detection. Better grip. Compact primes are about the same size. Zooms and tele are not. Video will b

I get it, but the GR IV Sucks

I debated a longtime before snagging one. I got it Saturday and the fact that I feel better about pulling this out for casual walks or commuting is already worth it to me. I get that my A7cR can get me a high resolution and give me a lot of flexibility in post, but I can’t slip that in my pocket and

Lumix S1R upgrade to Fuji

I do birds and I tested both like 3 years ago, it’s just very bad, unusable. Especially if you put a telephoto zoom. The cheapest high res FF you can get great af on is Sony and Canon, r5(M1) will blow your mind and it’s cheap cause they completely fckd up video. In Sony it’s A7cr surprisingly cause

current rx100 is being discounted by $200, could this mean the V8 is on the way?

There were a few reasons why I didn’t get along with the X100VI, and why I returned it to keep the RX1R III, even though I have an X-H2S (soon to be replaced by an as yet unknown Sony). The first was the autofocus performance. My X-H2S is acceptable, if not Sony good, but the X100VI is only ok in AF
