I estimate it wouldn’t sell. At given Ricoh pricing, they would have to compete with the Sony A7c II and A6700 and some Fujis, the Sonys have way better AF and an arsenal of lenses to choose from. As product managers use to say:”Never listen to enthusiasts if you don’t wanna go broke”.😎

A Canon R5 or R6 is significantly smaller and lighter while keeping most of the DSLR feel and ergonomics. RF has some good small primes like the 16/28/50mm. The other option is Sony's A7C series if you want the smallest camera possible, or the A7 series which is closer to a DSLR. There are plenty of

Great shots! Praying to the photography gods Nikon realizes if they put out a photo-centric in this body format, it could be a potential hit. It would compete with the likes of the Sony A7C series, Lumix S9, probably even Fuji offerings. Stick one of the more compact primes on it - and you have a gr

My advice for any photographer would be to invest more in lenses than the camera body. A camera body will go out of date and depreciate eventually, but a well maintained lens will last you much longer. I assume you're referring to the A7 mark4. It's a good camera. Also consider the A7C mark 2. Which

that is fair, i've tried the x300 pro, takes decent pictures for sure but i don't like the way the colors look and the way the processed image looks. Not saying it's bad but it's definitely not the best. And when it comes to having a dslr/mirrorless experience, the iphone still feels the closest for

I went from E-M1 II to OM-1. You'll definitely notice the tighter noise pattern that's pretty appealing- especially when pushing shadows. Speaking of shadows, there's no longer a purple tint and there's actually still some detail behind it, it's relatively neutral. I also have the G9 II and I find t

Not sure this will totally help. But here is my 2 cents worth. I own a Nikon Z7II and formerly owned the Sony A7RII. My wife currently owns the Sony A7RIV and formerly owned the A7C. Having said all that it comes down to what feels best in YOUR hands. These all have great image quality and excellent

Given your use case, my first thoughts are the Sony A7iii and the A7C. You'll have a lot of E mount lenses to choose from either. (Or if you get a really good deal on the FX30, get that- it'll be perfect for you- amazing low light even though it's apsc) However since you mentioned 4k30 feeling limit

Yep, the Fuji is mostly hype. I ended up selling it and buying the small Sony A7C ii for my travel camera, far more versatile with better image quality and interchangeable lenses. Then I got the Ricoh GRIV mono for my everyday. The Fuji is a marginal compromise for a lot of different cameras. If you
