Do no expect EVF, flash or weather sealing anytime soon

I estimate it wouldn’t sell. At given Ricoh pricing, they would have to compete with the Sony A7c II and A6700 and some Fujis, the Sonys have way better AF and an arsenal of lenses to choose from. As product managers use to say:”Never listen to enthusiasts if you don’t wanna go broke”.😎

The ZR booted up like, ‘bro, what is this?’

Great shots! Praying to the photography gods Nikon realizes if they put out a photo-centric in this body format, it could be a potential hit. It would compete with the likes of the Sony A7C series, Lumix S9, probably even Fuji offerings. Stick one of the more compact primes on it - and you have a gr

Sony A7C vs a6700 -- is it worth the extra money?

If you want a more compact setup, need more reach (wildlife, birding), plan to shoot video or use third-party strobes - get A6700. It's arguably the best APS-C on the market, and it is great. The sensor readout speed is amazing for video, and it has a proper full-mechanical shutter so you won't have

Advice to buy in Banglore/Chennai

My advice for any photographer would be to invest more in lenses than the camera body. A camera body will go out of date and depreciate eventually, but a well maintained lens will last you much longer. I assume you're referring to the A7 mark4. It's a good camera. Also consider the A7C mark 2. Which

Which lens for the Camino de Santiago?

Don't rule out prime lenses either, if you have any! I walked from Hendaye to Bilbao with my Samyang 24 mm f/1.8 on my Sony A7C. Not having a zoom lens with me helped in continuing to move instead of getting stuck at picturesque spots. Overall: Pick the lighter/smaller lens for sure, especially if y

FX3 or R6V

So many fantastic perspectives here. Depending on your needs, you might look at the zv-e1. If you're needing reliable, long takes, skip it. But the ZV-E1 is another reason I've stuck with Sony: size matters to me, and everything about Sony is smaller: the full-size bodies are smaller than the Canon

All these for 22 bucks

I've had that 35mm since new, used it a lot, it's worth buying a Nikon body just to use that lens. I'm not a fan of 50mm (it lives in a box), and 135 has always been too long/too short for my needs. (I like 85 and 180) But it's a great intro. And notice something REALLY important about Nikon lenses

RX100 VII for Mongolia steppe trip — compact zoom vs dust risk?

nahh.. First you need understand your intention to capture. Mongolian steppe or mountains, generally outside UB is calm, vast, and immersive. If you want capture these feelings, you need slow down, stay a bit, sit down then open up you camera with low speed and motionless. So in my opinion compact c

Considering a Leica but concerned about comments from Pros about reliability

AF Leica = Panasonic. The only Leica thing on that cameras are the stickers. Get the original Panasonic S ones for half price :-) AF lenses are Sigma in different casing again. Only the manual focus M line is made by Leica, because they're unable to design anything more complex than that. Q is Panas

What lenses should I add next?

For the A7C II, I would definitely recommend the Sony 70-200mm GM II. Since you’re shooting youth sports, autofocus speed and the f/2.8 maximum aperture will be critical. It’s a much better investment than the 100-400mm, which is too slow for indoor venues or evening games. For wildlife photography
