Leaving the Sony A7CII to go back to Fuji: X-E5 or X-T50?

I have an A7CII and a couple of Fuji bodies, and I don't notice any real size difference in practice. It's a super-compact camera for a FF, yes, but Sony lenses are inexplicably enormous. Worth a sidebar to gripe about the Sony menu system... egad. It's just terrible. But it's a remarkable camera in

Which lens for the Camino de Santiago?

Don't rule out prime lenses either, if you have any! I walked from Hendaye to Bilbao with my Samyang 24 mm f/1.8 on my Sony A7C. Not having a zoom lens with me helped in continuing to move instead of getting stuck at picturesque spots. Overall: Pick the lighter/smaller lens for sure, especially if y

Sony lenses are generally the smallest of the big 3 FF brands. With that said. The a7c bodies are small and work best with their smaller G primes.

Fuji AF compared to old DSLRs

Ah then perhaps you can consider a full frame Sony A7C mk2 or Nikon ZR. They are compact bodies and also offer good video capabilities. The A7C is rangefinder inspired while the ZR is a video centric camera with good stills shooting capabilities as well - ZR has no evf but a huge lcd screen. Both ar

Q: What’s the single best thing AND the single worst thing about the LUMIX S9? Let’s get a discussion going…

For full frame, it really is just Sony a7c cameras. Maybe FX cameras too (haven't held an FX camera before so not really sure). Even the A7IV/V are so small compared to my GH cameras, and weather sealed. I just want basic weather sealing, nothing fancy, in a small body. Maybe one day I'll try out a

Camera to back up the Leica Q3 43?

[ answering as someone with Nikon, GFX, Sony and a Q3 43 :-) ] As a pure back-up, I would go with a Sony a7 Compact (a7c or a7cii) and a lens of your choice. Easy to find used bargains. The Zf is a little bigger than a Sony a7 compact, but not that much, and easy to use with your existing Nikon lens

Between Sony and Canon, Which Brand Do You Have More Long Term Confidence In?

Sony's diversity is not limited to just lenses. You also have options for body sizes like the a7/a9 vs the a7c or even the rx1r (all full frame). When canon decides it's ready to start competing I'll consider them but until then I've never been left wanting with my a7cii.

Good Recommendations for Digital Cameras if I love my Minolta XG-1.

I would go with the Sony A7c; it's not as "film-camera-like" as Fuji but it's very small and full-frame, and almost every kind of lens can be adapted to it. I used Minolta lenses on my Sony cameras for years. The Fuji cameras are APS-C, which means your lenses will have a narrower angle of view. The

Thinking of buying the Leica Leitzphone (Xiaomi 17 Ultra) - Will I regret HyperOS?

better off with an iphone if u want a phone and a proper camera like a sony a7c ii if u want a camera tbh. The a7c ii is pretty handy as well. my setup has the stock kit lens and a tamron 50-300mm F4.5-6.3 (i think) lens

Thinking of buying the Leica Leitzphone (Xiaomi 17 Ultra) - Will I regret HyperOS?

that's why i suggested the sony a7c ii, it's very compact and handy, especially with the stock kit lens. And even with my current 50-300mm lens, it's still very compact and easy to carry around. I literally run around chasing cars with it. But that's fair as well, sometimes people just want stuff th
