Fujifilm XE-5 vs Sony A7C II

Technically, the Sony far outperforms the Fuji. I shot Sony for a while, on a semi-pro basis, had a full lineup of G Master lenses, and if you want clean, clinically sharp images and unbelievable autofocus, that’s the way to go. But I sold the whole bunch and went back to Fuji. Nowadays I mostly use

Olympus Om-3 worth it or should I go full frame?

What do you mean you say you’re looking to upgrade? Are you finding that your gear is limiting what you are able to capture? Or are you just looking for something new? I’m totally over the moon with the OM-3, but when it came time to take family Easter pictures, I went back to the Sony full frame be

Stuck in upgrade paralysis

Why do you need such great ibis for that use case? I switched from Fuji/sony to Nikon, but I’d probably pick a Sony A7C II or an Fujifilm X-T5 for your use case. The Nikon is much heavier.

LUMIX S9 vs Sony A7C2 vs Fuji XT50

Sony A7cII is my choice of the 3 for what you are looking for. Fuji autofocus is not good. So not good I sold all my Fuji gear because with each update it got worse. My experience. Lumix doesn't have an electronic shutter, no hot shoe, and no evf (I don't care about this really but the other 2 optio

Moving from Fuji to Lumix (S5 vs S9) for toddler photos & vlogging?

I used both and now have sony a7cii + lumix s9 Do you do pro videography? If not, 8 bit is more than fine and I'd tell you to go for the a7c The s5 is a major downgrade in AF, the s9 AF is still worse than the sony (but good overall) but the build quality feels super cheap and then as you said, no e

Decided to get DA 40 pancake to pair with K1-II

well, im a pure hobbyist, so my opinion might just be totally different from people making money on photography. The K1-II story for me: I've got a bunch of Pentax glasses and I like Pentax colors/custom images (since I barely edit photos except for trying out different custom images), so I know I n

OM-3 vs A7CII as a carry-everywhere dog walking camera, anyone made the same call?

Very similiar story to yours: after years of being out of the photography game I bought a GX80 with a few lenses (12-32 kit lens, 20mm 1.7, and the 42.5mm 1.7). I love it, it’s such a great and capable camera for the shooting I was doing (holiday snaps, street photography). I’ve ended up pivoting mo

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! March 06, 2026

Although I love full-frame cameras, for travel I'd recommend a crop-sensor/APS-C or micro four thirds camera. FYI I'm a Canon shooter so you know my bias upfront lol. But I try to recommend what's right for the OP, not push my brand preference onto them. Some options: Canon R50 + Canon EF-to-EOS R l

Camera Advice For Returning Photographer

Z5ii is like the Z6iii mentioned with less robust video features (but still great). And cheaper. Good full frame starting point and a recent release Im having fun with the Sony A7c Ii because of it’s small size, but I’m a Nikon guy too so more comfortable with them. The Nikon Z mount has a larger di

Sony a6700 or fujifilm xs20 for my userprofile?

I have a Sony A7 iii and all GM Zooms. They're a pain to carry on vacation. I got a sweet deal on a Fuji X-S20 and paired it with a Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens. My vacation photos are great! It was super easy to carry around in a Peak Design 3L sling. Whip the camera out, stuff it back in my bag. I'm g
